Cragmere’s Yule –
December 4, 2010

Yule approaches, and Cragmere welcomes you to warm yourself
among friends!
Please join us for an evening of revelry, good company,
games, singing and
perhaps some dancing.

The Arts & Sciences competition will be an open category,
and we invite you
to bring any projects that you have made in the last
year.  We’d love to see
what you’ve been up to, plus, you could win a prize!
There will be three
skill levels:  Children 12 and under, Youth/Adults, and
members of the Order
of the Jambe de Lion.  We would like to see
documentation from you Jambes,
and encourage basic documentation from all
entrants!

We have a bonus
competition, courtesy of Mistress Alicia le Wilfulle!
Mistress Alicia is sponsoring the Champion’s Challeng Pas de
Faux.  “A ‘Pas de Faux’ competition is an A&S
“Hoax” Competition where the entry is a faked
medieval object.  (Similar contests were held at
Stranded Mermaid and Raven’s War, and much enjoyed by
all.)”  for more information, please check the forum
post at

http://tirrigh.org/upperisland/BluepagephpBB/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=594

There will be an
A&S display for your older projects, or current
projects
that you don’t wish to enter into the competition.  We
would love to see
what you’ve been up to, in the Arts and Sciences (including
armor)!  Perhaps
you will inspire, or be inspired!

This year, we would like to continue the tradition of giving
tokens.  You
are encouraged to bring some small tokens, preferably
handmade by you, to
gift as you see fit.  Examples might be beads,
bookmarks, a tiny scroll, use
your imagination!  Reasons for gifting might be for an
act of kindness or
chivalry, or because you like someone’s clothing or their
A&S entry, or
perhaps because you enjoyed a song they performed.

Dinner will be a potluck – please be sure to list all
ingredients for your
dishes, and bring containers to take home any leftovers.

Suggested potluck contributions, by SCA first name:
C to G – breads, spreads and drinks.
H to L – a main dish.
M to Z – a vegetable dish.
A and B – a dessert.
