The Barony of Wyewood Champions’

August 2, 2014

The
Barony of Wyewood and Their Excellences’ Robert and
Gabrielle invites you to join us for Wyewood
Champions’ Tourney Saturday, August 2, 2014 at the Wyewood Archery
Range in South Renton. We will gather to compete for the
championship of Archery, Armored Heavy Combat, and Rapier. We
welcome you to come play, see, learn, feast and celebrate with
us.

Please bring shade, water, and
feast gear for there is nothing on site except archery target
butts.

The on-site dumpster is
not for our use
so please come prepared to pack out any trash.

There are many local places for
lunch. (See list below)

We will be having a
Champions
Feast after Closing Court by Kitchen Head: Lady Symonne
d’ Aywaille. On the menu are freshly redacted items from
“An Anonymous Andalusian Cookbook of the 13^th
Century translated by Charles Perry”.  More about the
menu to come, stay tuned. RSVP required by July
19^th.

$7 Adult

$5 Youth (17-10)

Free Children under 9

$5 NMS Fee applies for non-members

OWN:
The

following forms must be completed by a parent or legal guardian of
that minor IN

ADVANCE.
Copies of these forms will not be provided at the gate and are
required

for any Minor attending the event with anyone other than a parent
or legal guardian.

So, if you plan to bring a friend of the family or your child’s
best friend etc. and they

are under the age of 18, don’t forget to complete these forms
before coming to the

event.

Requirements and Responsibilities for
Champions’:

1. Entrants are encouraged to declare before the event, but are
required to declare and be present at opening court of Wyewood
Champions’ Event.

2. Entrants shall be acceptable to the Coronet and serve at the
Coronets discretion.

3. Champions shall swear fealty or an oath of service to the Barony
of Wyewood.

4. Paid membership in SCA (Blue or White card)

5. Proper authorizations, as required by Corpora or Kingdom Law,
must show when entering the Lists.

6. Age 18 or older.

7. The previous year’s champion in a marshall activity will
determine format for each competition, or name a Marshal-in-Charge
and collaborate with them.

8. The previous champion will be expected to attend the event their
successor is chosen, and their installment.

9. Two or more contenders must enter lists for a champion to be
named. There will be NO default Champions!

10. Champions are strongly encouraged to attend Wyewood sponsored
events.

11. In addition, the champion is encouraged to offer classes or
activities in their area of excellence, and promote participation
in the Barony.
