A pageant wagon has happened upon the Shire of Vinjar, and as
with any performance, we don’t know what will unfold! This
year there will be more children’s activities as well as the
usual championship tournaments in target archery, combat
archery, heavy combat, rapier and A&S. A Kid’s Korner
will be available during the feast; smalls must be parent
supervised while using it. Visit our website (www.shireofvinjar.org)
for tournament details and prizes. But wait, that’s not all!
Following court, the Vinjar Players will perform a play for
your entertainment. We challenge all the other shires and
baronies to prepare their own production. Join the pageant
wagon, perform with skill, and collect the prize! Huzzah!

Reservations can be make starting August 1, 2010 to Elspeth.
There are limited feast tickets and beds available. The only
reservation is a paid reservation. Site opens at 7 pm
September 24th and closes at 12 noon on September 26th. Make
cheques payable to: “ASCA – Shire of Vinjar.”

Site fee: $10 with membership, $5 NMS; Day fee: $5
Family Cap: $35 (2 adults, 2 children – smalls under 6 are
free)
Breakfast and bag lunch sold on site
Feast: $12 – smalls under 6 are free, but need to be
registered.
Beds: $10/night; Limited Camping: $5/tent

Merchants welcome; no fee for displaying/selling wares.
Please contact Lady Thomasyne (Marian Beswick-Arthur) to
reserve indoor location.

The site is wheelchair accessible and has indoor
showers/washrooms.

Well we
told people in the beginning that with theatre you never know
what will unfold. Well this just unfolded.

Vinjar
is opening up our championship at Vinfest to extend past the
gates of our fine shire. We are challenging all will
participants to compete to become a Vinjar Champion in
Rapier, Archery, Heavy Combat and yes even Arts and
Science.

Winning
Champions must return to Vinjar the following year and
organize, and run a tournament for the event in which they
are champion. They also must leave detailed contact
information and keep the shire informed of any change in
contact information. This way next year’s autocrat has
a way of contacting the champions. For some reason if you are
unable to attend you must find so one to look after your
tournament.
