SITE HAZARDS

The fast moving Kettle River is located right beside the
event site and has a high bank down to the river but no
fence. Do not leave your children unattended.

There are many buildings and bleachers and barns on the site,
they are completely off limits. Breech of this will result in
one warning and then removal from the
event.

Please note the local gun range is just down the road, and if
you go for a walk in the surrounding woods also be aware that
there are wild animals, coyotes, deer and bears in the area.
Do not leave small dogs outside at night
unattended.

SMOKING
Please keep smoking within your own encampment or the
designated area. Please use an ashtray or sand can. Please
don’t leave butts on the ground as it can start fires.

QUIET TIME

Please respect the sleep of your friends and competitors and
no drumming after 1:00am

OVER-HEATING VEHICLES / PETS IN CARS / DEER ON
ROADS

There are many long mountains to get to Rock Creek, be aware
of your vehicle and of over heating in the desert
temperatures. Never drive with the A/C on. And if your
vehicle does start to over heat when climbing the mountains
DO NOT pull over and shut the car off, that stops the engine
fan from running and will cause you to definitely over
heat.

Instead turn your heater on full speed and as hot as possible
and that will suck the heat out of the engine. Yes you will
be miserably hot, sorry and then slowly crawl up the mountain
until your temperature gauge returns to normal. Again, if you
pull over and shut the engine off you will over heat and
probably blow your radiator and DO NOT take the cap off your
radiator as you could get burnt and DO NOT put water into a
hot radiator, you can crack the engine block. Please respect
the mountain just outside of Osoyoos it takes a lot of
vehicles off the road each year.

At night watch out for many deer on the road. Around dusk is
the worst time of the night, but deer will be on the road
during all hours, even during the day.

And lastly please do not leave your pet in the car. Each year
we have many animal deaths in the area because of this. Heat
stroke is no way for a pet to die and the temperature in a
car can increase very rapidly in the
desert.

THANK YOU EVERYONE AND HAVE A SAFE AND ENJOYABLE
EVENT
