Tir Righ Summer Investiture and Heavy Championship Shire of
Ravensweir Friday June 11 – Sunday June 13, 2004 Quesnel, BC
Autocrat: Cerridwen Maelwedd OYEZ OYEZ OYEZ Come travel to
the ends of the realms of Tir Righ….well..not quite but
we’re close 🙂 We have found a wonderful site beside a
gorgeous lake…. Cabins, RV spots, fabulous food merchant to
tempt your pallet and cut back on all that cooking and
cleaning! Visit some of our local tourist attraction.. Care
to step out of the medieval ( for a moment 😉 into the Gold
Rush days?… Quesnel can accommodate you with that and much
more. Please come visit this wonderful shire that has taken
my heart and made the SCA a brighter place for me and I hope
you as well. More activities to be posted! Saturday 09:00 –
11:30 Joint peers meeting 10:00 – Lists for Squires, cadets
and Champions tourney open 11:30 – 12:30 Curia & Armour
inspection for Squires tourney 1:00 – Court Lists close 1:30
or 2:00 Tourney begins for cadets and squires. 5:00 Final
court of Ulf & Celdae This is of course subject to change
ETC. Bardic competition to follow Sunday 08:00 – 09:00 –
Court and Investiture 09:45 – 10:00 – 10:30 – Lists open for
Champions Tourney to open immediately after court 11:00 –
Lists close 11:30 – Invocation of the lists 12:00 – Champions
tourney begins Court immediately after completion of tourney

Why Pre-register? It makes Gate easier for us, but more
importantly, it makes Gate easy for you! You don’t have to
have money on hand, there is no gate sheet to fill out or
waivers to sign because you’ve already done it all before the
event! You will breeze past all those people who have to take
time at gate to fill out forms and waivers. Pre-registration
is not just for members anymore! Pre-registration is
available to EVERYONE – members, non-members, and children,
**provided that** the appropriate photocopies and/or waivers
as well as the NMS (if applicable) are submitted with your
registration form. Please BE SURE to read page 2 of the
Pre-registration form for instructions regarding which
photocopies and/or waivers are required with your submission.

bards of Tir Righ, greetings. At the upcoming Coronet
Investiture in Ravensweir, our Principality will be a year
old! Her Excellency, Ban-Tanist Ksenia Pavlovna believes that
we should have a Tir Righ Anthem, therefore: There will be a
Bardic competition on Saturday evening, June 12, at the
Coronet Investiture in Ravensweir to seek a suitable Anthem
for our Principality. Her Excellency has stipulated that the
Anthem should not be a filk. Please declare your intent to
enter the competition before the Final Court of their
Highnesses Ulf and Celdae. Keep in mind the goal which Conon
de Bethune (c.1185) set himself: I shall make an easy song
For it is important to me That everyone can learn it And be
happy to sing it. If you have questions, I will be most happy
to answer them. I look forward to enjoying all your entries.

location: Lazy Daze Campground 714 Ritchie Road, Quesnel, BC,
(250) 992-6700 Directions: Take Highway 97 to 10 Mile Lake
Road (North of Quesnel). Turn west onto Ten Mile Lake Road.
Turn left at the fork in the road. Turn right onto Ritchie
Road. There will be signs. Do NOT use Mapquest!!! It will
show you the wrong road! Site info – We occupy a plot of land
right on the lake, with access to the campground right across
the lane. They also have cabins, cottage units, RV hook-up
for reasonable rates. Contact Autocrat for info. An excellent
food merchant will be on site as well. Site opens Friday,
June 11 at 4PM. Site closes on Sunday, June 13 at 6PM.
Merchants – regular site fees apply and by donation.
Merchants MUST reserve. Please contact the Autocrat. Ithra
classes to be announced. Waivers: Waivers are all available
on line and you are encouraged to print and have them all
filled out and signed before arriving – this will also keep
your time at gate to a minimum. As we are in BC Canada, SCA
& NSCA minor waivers need to be completed. Medical
Authorization for Minors are also to be completed for any
minors travelling without their parent or legal guardian..
Site Rules: Dog leash and “pooper scooper” rules in effect. –
“discreetly wet”. – No ground fires, tikki torches and
braziers OK. – Designated smoking sections will be 1/2 of
Bardic Circle and one other( to be posted on site) Site Fees:
Adult Member $14 CAD adult non members add $4 Youth 11 to
adult $7.00 Children 10 and under free. Daytrip fee – $6.00
CAD for adults adding $4.00 NMS Youth $4.00 10 & under
still free. Family cap – $40.00 CAD + NMS Make cheques
