Bold Tir Righ,
The Winds of Change blow cold across our Stormy Principality, and while we celebrate the shining reign of Hurricane Prince Kheron and Tempest Princess Kenna, we must also prepare for the twilight of Their Brilliance.
The rain-drenched Barony of Lions Gate invites you to take shelter (indoors where it is warm!) and witness the ascension of the next Storm Prince and Princess, February 15th, 2020, AS 54

See the passing of the mantle of the Scar of Tir Righ  and see who after long battle will earn the right to stand as Rapier Champion of Tir Righ.

Marvel at the display of the artists of the land (no documentation needed)

Dont forget the Dame Largess Drive!  No need to make multiple items or create to a theme
Place your largess donations in the baskets for a chance to pick from the pile of goodies BEFORE we add donate them to the Storm Thrones

This is a one day event

There will be a tavern with special event license  – no outside alcohol at any time

As per Vancouver bylaws no pets or smoking in the facility – service animals are welcome

The event stewards have kindly set aside space for an A&S display in a prominent, well-trafficked area. Bring a project or two that you’re proud of and want to show off! Please include a card with the name of your project, your name and branch. Having trouble deciding which projects to display? Bring 3 or 4; if there’s extra space we’re happy to fill it, but the priority will be to allow as many gentles as possible to share their work. Including documentation or a few pictures is fine, but please don’t include books or display boards, as space is limited. Please check with me, the event stewards or at gate if you’re not sure where to set up.

There will also be an evening Bardic circle after Court. All are invited to attend and participate. Exact time and location will be heralded and/or announced at Court.

This event includes the following activities and/or services:
Royal Presence - King
Royal Presence - Queen
Royal Presence - Tir Righ
Has Rapier and/or Cut & Thrust activities

Accessibility Information

Please note this is an older building that has been retrofitted – there is a ramp for those that cannot use stairs to gain entry to the main hall, out front, and an elevator inside. The entry to the foyer has a handful of steps, however the ramp leads right into the main ballroom – the ramp has a gentle slope and has the required chair rests. The only area that is not accessible is the stage the morning meetings and the vigil are taking place, there are a few stairs leading up to this area -there are both risers (no rail) and a stairwell with a hand rail. Please let us know if you need accommodation for this as we will try to adjust as necessary.

Parking is limited but we are setting aside some spots for those with mobility issues in the underground parking lot. Please contact the event steward at MorweenaSCA@Gmail.com if you would like to reserve a spot.
If you are looking for parking in the underground and there are spots without a “reserved for” sign – its available!
Hudson street and 73 to the East (see map) are one hour parking until 6 pm on a Saturday. All other streets are unrestricted parking.

There is also parking available at St Anthony of Padua school on 73rd Avenue – the lot is marked “for parishioners of St Anthony of Padua”.
