This is a Level 1: Coronet Event (Principality Coronet Tournaments and Investitures) event.

Please join the Shire of Coeur du Val for the investiture of our new Alpine Heirs. Activities include The Summits Defenders Tournament, a rapier prize tourney, a dirty half dozen competition for largess, and an A&S display.

Accessibility Information

We will have handicap parking available up front near the town square as well as the ability to drive to your camp site for unloading.

There are some paved paths around the parameter of site, but the fields are very flat as this is a city park used for large events.

There will be 2 ADA Biffy’s one near camping and one near town square.

Tournament Information

Summits Defenders Tourney
Standard double elimination

Finals are best of 5 with no repeated weapon forms i.e. weapon & shield, great sword, pole arm/axe and two weapon. If it goes to the 5th round, each fighter may bring their best.

 

Rapier Prize Tourney

Standard double elimination

Finals will be best of 3 bring your best

Natural Pigments

From case paintings to frescoes to illuminated manuscripts, we’ll dive into the colors that illustrated our history. Brief overviews of how humans made rocks, minerals, plants, lichen and animals into the painted and written works of art that have survived to this day. While I focus on Medieval Europe and pre-colonial America, materials and processes form teh other countries are touched on as well.
