Rapier Tournament

Don Thore extends an
invitation to all rapier fighters in Avacal and Myrgan Wood
to come out to Spring Champions to test the mettle of the
fighters competing for Baronial Champion.

Tournament Format – Modified
London Masters:

Two stages:  First stage
will be single elimination rounds with each of 5 weapon
styles (single sword, sword/dagger, sword/buckler,
sword/cloak, swoard/baton).  Second stage will be an
elimination round for the winners of the first stage.
Each stage 1 round style win buys the fighter a life in the
second round.  So if Fighter A wins 2 styles, and
Fighers B, C and D each win one, Fighter A will have two
lives in the final round, while fighters B,C and D each have
one.  The second round will be fought with the fighter’s
choice of weapon styles from the first round.

Each fighter is guaranteed at
least 5 fights.  All pairings in each round will be
pulled from a hat.

Those entering into the
Championship must have a valid SCA membership and maintain
the same during their tenure, be prepared to return in about
a year or so to select their successor and subscribe to the
Myrgan Wood mailing list.

A&S

The A&S championship will
be a single entry and shall be available for display no later
than 11:00 a.m.
