The Shire of Rivers Bend invites you to join us for our 4th annual Heavy and Rapier Defender Tournement and WAR!!! Schedule includes; heavy and rapier defender tournements, rapier roving prize tourney, heavy blanket tourney, war scenarios for heavy with combat archery, war scenarios/melees for rapier, Ithra classes, childrens activities, merchants, Friday night soup kitchen meet and greet(A monatary donation of $3.00 is appreciated but not required), and more!!! New info as of Feb. 1st – Prizes for the rapier prize tourney will be a handmade cavalier half cape and a rapier frog for your belt for 1st and 2nd place. Also, if you wish to enter the prize tourney please make sure you have someone with you to act as your second – they will be there act as marshalls as this is a Roving Tourney. Winners of the tournements will be decided by most wins. Depending on the tourney format, if there is a tie, the person with the least amount of losses will be the winner. Below is an almost finalized schedule, there are a few more things to be checked on for the final version but it will not change much from this version.
Friday June 1st
10am – Site opens for merchants
12pm – Site opens for populace
6pm – Event meet and greet under covered picnic area, there will be a soup kitchen open.
8:30 pm – Torchlight pickup fights if there is enough interest.
Saturday June 2nd
8am – first town cry with information on activities
9am – Field Heraldry Ithra Class starts
10am – Heavy Armor inspection
11am – Heavy Defender Tourney Starts

12pm – Heavy Blanket/Prize Tourney
1pm – youth Heraldic Scavenger Hunt begins
2pm – Children's Bocce Tournement begins

2:30 – Rapier Armor inspection begins
3pm – Rapier Defender Tourney Begins

Site Info: This site is a field – make sure to bring your shade and sunscreen with you! Trash, including cigerette butts, is to be packed out. Smoking in designated areas only. Site is discreetly wet. Animals allowed on leashes and must be cleaned up after.
Site Fees: Members – $8.00 ages 9 and over, Non-Members – $11.00 (18 and Older), Children 8 and Younger – FREE! Daytrip fee of $5.00. Family Cap: $30. Make checks payable to "Shire of Rivers Bend, SCA Inc." Site Opens at 12 pm Friday and closes at 5 pm Sunday. Merchants are welcome, merchant fee is a donation to the Shire prize box. All merchants responsible for having appropriate paperwork. All food merchants must be certified through the Health Dept.
