This is a Level 2: Branch Event where no Kingdom or Principality business is expected to be conducted.

Please note: this is a new site, not the site on Queen Anne hill in Seattle.

The Peasant’s Revel is one of the Barony of Madrone’s most beloved events. The Peasant’s Revel has been held every year since 1979, although the event was on hiatus from 2020 to 2022 and returned in 2023. The event is hosted by the Barony of Madrone and the Madrone Culinary Guild.

Dress like a peasant. (Nobles, you may want to send your illegitimate second cousin twice removed who looks remarkably like you.)

Remember to bring a bowl, a spoon, a plate, and your cup and napkin. The Madrone Culinary Guild makes a picnic dinner which may include a salad, bread, cheese, pickles, and fruit. The Guild will have available water and lemonade to drink.

There is no court and no meetings. This is a great event for newcomers. Bring your children. Play and watch silly games.

Bring chairs or a picnic blanket, your lunch and the beverages you prefer. This is a Bellevue city park. Wear comfortable peasant garb or OK-to-get-grass-stains garb.  There is shade available under the trees, or you can bring a pop-up sunshade. Bring weights, you cannot drive stakes in the lawn. Also bring hand sanitizer or hand wipes for your comfort.

Event activities are primarily on grass in a mostly flat space.

Garb to borrow will be available. Ample parking is available in an adjacent parking lot. Parking spaces adjacent to the park should be for people with mobility challenges who need close parking. If you need close parking, please contact Rowenna de Manning in advance, and we will make every effort to save a close parking space.
