Oct. 17, 2015
(Saturday)

Barony of Wealdsmere

Where: Redeemer Lutheran
Church, 3606 S. Schafer Road, Spokane Valley WA 99206

The Barony of Wealdsmere
proudly invites you to attend our annual Oktoberfeast and
Toys for Tots
Tournament!  Please come join us at the
Redeemer Lutheran Church for a day of fun and frolic! Help us
celebrate the Harvest with bountiful food and joyous friendship. We
promise you a day of tournaments, dancing, delicious foods and
glorious occupation! Come dance with the Marines! We humbly ask
that you help us collect toys for that most Worthy organization
Toys for Tots, that we may grant a Merry Christmas for children in
need.

As always we will give all comers the
opportunity to fight for honor and glory in the areas of Heavy
Combat, Rapier Combat, YAC, Games and Arts and Sciences.

The Event is family friendly. There will be
Youth and Parent activities throughout the day.  We have a
beautiful new site with a nursery and playground! (Parents are
responsible for their children’s activities at all
times!)

Back by Popular Demand: Frugal SCAdian
garment contest!
Create and entire SCA ensemble for under
$25. The winner last year created several beautiful outfits all for
under $25 combined! She will be hard to beat! Walk the runaway with
your best strut!

Viking Longboat Races: Get up
to 4 team members and build a longboat! Longboats may be ridden in,
worn, pushed, pulled or carried across the finish line! First team
to get across the line with their boat wins! The race is open to 3
age groups: 12 and up (I would say adults, but let’s face it,
we are all kids at heart); 2-12, and best baby longboat (2 and
under, baby may be carried).

Remember to compete in any contest you are requested to donate a $5
(or more) unwrapped toy to help the US Marine  Toys-for-Tots
program to provide Gifts for Children that may not have a Merry
Christmas without this service.

A bounteous and tasty traditional Viking
dinner is being grown, yes, grown and prepared by Olaf. (What do
Vikings want? Meat! What else do they want? More meat!) He’s
even promised to butcher the cow before he serves it. Menu will
posted at a later date.

Merchants Fees: Merchants are
welcome. A donation of a $5 (or more) unwrapped toy is requested in
lieu of a fee for all merchants. Unlimited merchants welcome and
you will have table space in the middle of all the activities this
year!
