With Spring
days quickly lengthening into Summer, Their Excellencies of
Glymm Mere, Baron Godric and Baroness Kara invite all to join
with them in welcoming Their Majesties, Vik and Inga, to
Mayfaire which will be held at a NEW SITE in the Western
Lands of Glymm Mere, just 30 minutes west of I-5, in
McCleary, WA. 
The site is primitive, but with a paved road to the
site.  Please be
prepared to bring your own water and pack out your
garbage.

 

Events will include Prize
Tournaments in Heavy Combat, Rapier and Archery on Saturday
and the Shield of Glymm Mere, Rapier and Archery Defender
Tournaments on Sunday.  There will also be
YAC activities, Pied Piper, Games Tournament, A&S
classes, Siege Cooking competition, Merchants, and
more!  

 

There is a swift moving, deep creek on site.  Please
watch your children!

 

Merchants
are welcome. 
Please contact the Merchantcrat for further
information. 
Merchants are requested to donate a gift certificate to the
prize chest in lieu of fee.

 

Site fee
will be $14 ages 17 and up; $7 for youth ages 12-17, and
under 12 free. There is a family cap of $42 and a day trip
fee of $10.  $3
NMS fee will apply.  Make checks payable
to:  “SCA,
Inc –Barony of Glymm Mere.  The site
will open to Merchants on May 1 @ 12PM and to the general
populace @ 2PM, and closes @ 5PM on May 3.

There will
be a Brewing Competition beginning after opening Court on
Saturday and closing at 4Pm Saturday.  It will be judged
on taste, complexity and presentation.  Documentation is
welcome, but not required.  There will be competition in
the following categories:  Liquers, Brews (beer and
mead), Wines and overall best.  For more information,

Directions:

From I-5 North: Take
exit 104 West to Highway 101.  Take the
McCleary/Mox Chehalis Road exit.  There
exit and turn left across the overpass onto the Mox
Chehalis.  The site is approximately 5
½ miles on the left.  There will be
signs.

From I-5
South
: 
Take exit 88 west to Aberdeen onto Highway
12.  Continue to town of
Malone.  Take a
right onto the Mox Chehalis Road.  Continue
about 3 miles – the site is on the right
side.

From the
west
: 
Take the exit onto Highway 12 to
Centralia.  Go south to Malone (about 5
miles) and turn left on the Mox Chehalis
Road.  The site will be approximately 3
miles on the right.

Leaving site, turn
right and follow Mox Chehalis Road back over the
freeway.  Turn
left at the stop sign and follow the road down the
hill.

and turn left. 
Follow the road part-way down the hill to Pine Street, turn
right.  Follow
Pine to Birch, and Birch to the hospital.
