Join the people of the Baronies of Madrone and Wyewood at a single site for two – yes, two! – events in one.

Don your armor, pick up your swords, your bows and arrows, and your thrown weapons to join us for a day of valiant combat and competition as the Baronies of Madrone and Wyewood join together to host an event in the heart of the Barony of Wyewood (Kent, WA).

 

By display of prowess, chivalry, and joy in the martial arts, competitors will vie for selection by the Barun and Barunin of Madrone to take on the mantles of Champions for Armored Combat, Rapier and Cut-and-Thrust whilst Wyewood will hold Archery and Thrown Weapons competitions. This is a great opportunity for those wishing to send in IKAC and Royal Round scores. For those wishing to learn the martial arts, there will be lessons available in some of the forms.

 

A simple luncheon is included in your site fee as our regal Barunin Gera (Madrone) and noble Baroness Aline (Wyewood) invite you to have “Brats with the Baronesses.” Donations for the lunch are suggested but not expected.

 

A hospitality table with snacks and nibbles will also be available to all attending. Do bring a favorite to share!

 

The site is a grass field. Bring your pop-ups and day-flys to share shade with your friends. Also bring your day-event equipment: chair(s), tables, banners, your medieval eating gear, and your preferred “being outdoors all day” beverages that keep you cool (or warm, if it’s rainy) and hydrated.

 

There will be designated ADA parking and ADA porta-potties available. Pets are welcomed if they are leashed and under supervision at all times. Please plan to “pack in and pack out” your trash for the day.

Meal Information

Brats with the Baronesses! We will be grilling brats and providing buns, condiments and sides like pickles, tomatoes and chips for lunch. There will be a limited number of hot dogs for the young (and young at heart), and gluten free buns. A small donation is suggested but not expected.

A hospitality table with snacks and small nibbles will also be available all day. It would be delightful if you brought a favorite snack or dessert to share.
