Greetings unto the Populace
of the Sable Lion of An-Tir. The Mighty Barony of Dragon’s Laire
would like to invite you all to join us in beautiful Bremerton WA,
the heart of An-Tir, to stand witness to the competition that will
decide the new Kingdom Arts and Sciences and Bardic Champions of An
Tir. These competitions are set to take place on March 6th, 7th,
and 8th 2015 at the Baymont Inn and Suites. Room reservations are
open now with room rates for a double queen beds starting at $85.
Please contact the Baymont Inn at 1-360-377-7666 to reserve your
room, and please use the phrase “Kingdom Arts and
Sciences” as part of your reservation!

Letters of intent and research paper entries are due by midnight 10
January 2015 (12th Night). Information about letters of
intent, the entry requirements, deadlines, and competition criteria

A tournament of
arms will be held for fighters who would like to show their
interest in the arts and sciences as well as their prowess on the
field. Each fighter who would like to enter the lists must submit a
handmade item primarily made by the entrant, the A&S
submissions will become the prizes for the tournament. Since each fighter will bring a
prize all participants will leave with
something.
The overall
winner of the tournament will have first pick of the prizes and the
second pick will go to the fighter whose item was chosen first
continuing until all the prizes are gone.
The prize table
will be displayed for all at the event to see what the fighters of
An Tir have been working on. Please note any reasonable attempt at
a handmade item will be accepted as we would like as many people to
participate as possible. Documentation is not necessary, in fact
your item does not need to be strictly medieval for example a raw
hide wrapped rattan sword would be a fantastic entry. However store
bought items or submissions that the fighter did not have any part
of making will not be accepted.
