The Shire of Bitter End is proud to welcome all to celebrate the harvest Roman style. Festivus Messis (Harvest feast) will be held on Septembris VII – IX Anno Societatis XLII. (September 7-9, 2007)
As in times past, the Shire Championship Tournaments will be held this day.
Compete to become the Shire’s next Champion of Sword, Arrow, Arts & Sciences and Rapier!
Feast will consist of several period Roman Dishes as well as a children’s menu. Please let us know if you or your child has any food allergies.
A lunch on Saturday and breakfast on Sunday will be provided.
Only 125 feast tickets will be sold so reserve early
Primus: Fresh baked foccaccia bread with assorted cheeses, olives and balsamic vinegar dip
Secondus: Field greens with a traditional Roman dressing
Tertius: polenta in a mushroom sauce, honey glazed carrots, Roasted beef and Turkey as well as Lambuli assi ita fiunt which is a rolled pork loin stuffed with herbs and spices.
Sunday breakfast will consist of Gaulish toast, eggs and bacon or sausage with juice and coffee. A small donation would be greatly appreciated.
The last remove will not be revealed until the day of the feast.

Youths (12-17) $10 site and feast; $6 site only Children under 12 free
