Montengarde

Welcome young and old, from near and far. Join us in choosing our Champions of Montengarde. Come pitch your encampments and join us for a weekend of tournaments, dancing and merriment. Weekend events include: Dragonblinder (Archery), Dragonslayer (Heavy), and a Rapier prize tournament. Something new for all ages: “Human Jousting” (no guarantees that your ego will be intact at the end”, sorry, humans only. Details available on site. Ready your drinking vessels, “The Dam and Beaver” Tavern will be bigger and better this year.

All are welcome to bring enclosed, secure portable fires (Provincial bans will be enforced if necessary). Please note that there is no potable water on site, BRING YOUR OWN. Supplies and showers are a 10 minute drive away. All merchants are welcome (no additional fee). Camping and merchanting spots are on a first come, first served basis. Site opne 4 pm Friday June 14, and closes at 5 pm on Sunday June 16.

Maximum charge per immediate family $36
Day fees: half off above costs.

A 15% discount for SCA members, with proof of membership (bring your card).

Directions: Take your best route to the TransCanada Hwy into Calgary (16th Avenue). Head west out of town (Aim for Cochrane). On TransCanada West, pass the Cochrane overpass (HWY. 22) and the Petro Canada Service Station. Take the next turn off going north -Jumping Pound Road (note: stay on the paved road). Turn left at the T intersection (this is quite a way from your last turn). Follow this over a few hills and a bridge, you will see signage marking the next turn (no street address) to the right. Head north towards the Gas Plant. Troll and signage will mark the entrance to the fields (last fields before the plant).
