Day of Dance
February 2, 2002
Barony of Lions Gate (Vancouver BC)

I bring word to you of an upcoming event in the fair Barony of Lions Gate.
Back by popular demand, Master Baron Steffano and myself are pleased to
bring you a Day of Dance on February 2, 2002.

The day will be dedicated to the art of dance. Anyone wishing to perform a
particular style should contact the autocrat. For those less energetic
gentles, there will be games, arts and sciences, as well as good old
socialising. In fact, there will be a place (outdoors) set aside for anyone
who may wish to compare fighting skills.

The evening will feature a tavern and a tablero tournament; an opportunity
to practice those dances learned during the day as well as several
presentation pieces. In accordance with BC liquor laws, no outside alcohol
will be permitted on site!
This exotic event is set on a Spanish/Moorish theme, although visitors from
other lands are greatly encouraged. In keeping with the theme, evening
seating will be divided between table and floor seating (please bring your
own cushions). Evening food will be available for a minimum $3 donation or
bring a dinner food donation (serving 8-10) for our potluck feast. (Warming
oven only available). Coffee and Tea will be available (by donation) during
the day and eateries are a short walk away.

Site fee is $6.00 Cdn for adults, $3.00 for children under 12. Babes in arms
are free. US $ will be determined based on the exchange rate at the time.
