Shire of Cold Keep – Defenders Tournament 2023 – Heavy Tournament- Rapier Tournament- Bardic Competition- Arts and Science Competition – Target Archery Tournament- Thrown Weapons Tournament. All winners from each category will become our Shire Defenders.

Friday June 30th 2023:

Site opens: 3:00 PM

Hall setup

Gate opens: 6:00 PM

Saturday July 1st 2023:

Gate opens: 8:00 am

All Lists open: 8:30 am

A & S submissions open: 8:30 am

Heavy inspections begins: 9:00 am

Heavy tournament begins: 9:30 am

Archery range opens: TBD

Archery inspection 10:30 am

Archery tournament begins: 11:00 am

Lunch: 12:00 pm

Rapier Inspection begins: 1:00 pm

Rapier Tournament begins: 1:30 pm

Thrown weapons inspection and range opens: 2:30 pm

Thrown weapons Inaugural tournament begins: 3:00 pm

A & S voting closes: 4:00 pm

Dinner begins: 5:00 pm

Bardic competition begins: 6 pm

Court after feast and bardic: 7 pm

Winners to be announced at court

Sunday July 2nd 2023:

Gate opens: 8:00 am


Pancake breakfast by donation: 9:00 am

Site clean up: 10:30 am

Site closes: 12:30 pm

Meal Information

There is a kitchen on site but fridge space and stove spots are limited as the feast will be a potluck, please plan to not require or minimize need for fridge or stove space. there SHOULD be enough space to plug in crock pots and a table will be setup for them to live on.

There will be a pancake breakfast on Sunday July 2nd by donation.

People travelling from out of town given how taxing travel is are asked to bring buns, cheese and meat trays that can be easily picked up along the way.
