Come one, come all and celebrate all things Bardic in a Celtic
atmosphere!
Once again the land of the golden blossom, the Barony of Blatha an
Oir celebrates
creativity and song at their annual Celtic bardic .
Not only will there
be an open bardic with prizes, and classes, we will also be seeking
our new bardic champion!
A fun filled musical whimsy weekend!
We will be furnishing lunch (soup), Pot luck dinner (the Barony
will supply a main dish meat) and Breakfast Sunday
morning.
Please check on the Blatha an Oir website for class details and
meals.
… As this is listed on the Kingdom Calendar, NMS will be
required, and site fee is an inexpensive $15 weekend or $10 day
trip for adults, $10 weekend $5 for Kids 13-17, and kids 12 –
under are Free!
Please•Bring a ready-to-serve dish to serve 8-10
•Bring a serving utensil as needed
•Plan to cart out any leftovers as there will be no kitchen
staff.
•Bring your feast gear.
Helpful Reminders: Many of us have allergies or food intolerances.
Please include an index card with the name of your dish and a list
of its ingredients. And….if you are so inclined, perhaps the
recipe on the back?

directly with your letter of intent (can be via email) if you wish
to compete for Bardic
All competitors must demonstrate proficiency in at least 2 out of 4
categories:
Music:
Instrument
Vocal
Story Telling:

Joke
Writing:
Poem
Story
Song (filk allowed)
Physical:
Acting
Juggling
Acrobatics
Balancing (tight or slack rope)
Puppetry
Dance
Categories can be combined, eg: write a story or poem, and then
perform it.
Extra points will be awarded for each additional category
performed.
Documentation will not be required, but extra points will be
awarded to anyone who provides it, including any oral documentation
in the Bardic tradition.
All pieces should be performed in a period, or periodesque
manner.
