Excellencies Baron Conchobar MacEoin Proconsul and Baroness Eilidh
Keldeleth Proconsula of Dragon’s Laire do graciously request your
presence at their Candlemas Arts and Sciences and Bardic
Championship and Feast to be held on February 11,
2017 in their fair lands of Bremerton. This year Their
Excellencies are pleased to host
Their Royal Majesties Jarl Styrkarr Jarlskald
& Dagrun Stjarna at this event.

Letters of intent to compete are being
accepted until midnight, January 14th, 2017. Letters of
intent should include who you are, your contact information, and
what you are planning on entering with as much detail as possible
to assist in finding appropriate judges. Letters must be
submitted to both Their Excellencies (coronets [at] and to the Arts and Sciences Minister, Marquesa
Laurellen (asminister [at]  You should receive a reply from
Laurellen within a couple days of submitting your
letter.  If you do not
receive a reply please contact the event steward.  

A feast prepared
by Countess Elizabeth and her awesome team will follow the
competition. Feast seats will be limited and are available by
pre-registration only.  Feast will be $10 for adults 18
and over with youth and children eating for free. Please visit our

nonmembers ($10+$5 nonmember registration) 18 and over.  Attendees 17 and under are

As this is an Arts and Sciences competition we
will be having a tablescape contest that is open to all
attendees.  Decorate
your table in items that best fit the theme of “the return of
the light”. Feel free to use elements from various period
feasts and celebrations such as Imbolc, Lupercalia/Parentalia,
Saint Brigid’s Feast, the Nikvh bear festival, and
Candlemas.  You can
mix periods and cultures if you wish.  Get creative and have
fun!  There is no need
to pre-register, simply ask for a number at gate when you check in.
The winner will be chosen by Their Excellencies and Their Majesties
and will receive a small prize.
