The Barony of Wastekeep invites one and all to our 25th Annual Baron Dyon’s Memorial Tournament and Ball. There will be war scenarios as well as a special Rose Tournament. All fighters who wish to enter in this special tournament must have a consort on site. For the war scenarios, no pole arm or great weapon can be longer than Dyon is tall. In the evening, we will be having a Served Feast, and Off Board space for those who prefer to bring their own food. Dancing may follow depending on the schedule. As always, we will be having our A&S Championship and new this year, Wastekeep’s first Bardic Championship. The site is discretely wet. There are hotels within the area. Merchants are welcome. Those who pre-register will receive a cast pewter token. Fighting Scenarios Rose Tournament List will open at 8:30 am and close at 10:00 am. Format: Any fighter who wishes to participate needs to bring a consort and valid fighter card to the list with them. The Fighter will be given two roses. The tourney will consist of a self listing / any weapon challenge format started in reverse order of precedence. Rules: The person who is lowest on the OP will issue a challenge to any person in the list. These two will fight their round. The loser of the round will then take one rose and present it to the winner’s consort. The next person in the OP will issue the next challenge and they will fight. So on and so forth until there is only one fighter with any roses left. Prizes will be given to the consort of the winning fighter, the consort with the most roses, and a special chivalry prize will be presented to the consort who’s fighter is chosen by the Lady’s gallery of consorts and royal Ladies as most chivalrous. Bridge/Keep scenario: Lists open at 8:30m am and will close for court and final close will be at 12:30pm. Bring to the list table a valid fighter card. Battle consists of 2 – 30 minute Resurrection Battles fought over a bridge to the apron of the Keep and on inside if the forces can make it there. There will be a 15 minute rest in between the battles and a change of sides. This will be the main tourney scenario so all fighters who wish to score points will need to have a numbered sticker placed on there helm for the list mistress’ to mark your wins and losses. Prizes: Most wins Chivalry Battered Helm Open field battle. The traditional fight-till-you-get tired battle. Have fun and be safe! Site: Benton County Fairgrounds, 1500 S. Oak, Kennewick, WA 99336.
