BANNER WAR
September 28 – 30 , 2001

The Barony of Aquaterra invites one and all to participate at Banner
War at the Masonic Park, Granite Falls, WA. Bring your personal,
household, merchant, and branch banners for all to see and enjoy.
All the Households within this great Kingdom are invited to compete
for War Points for the honor of their Banner. There will be a Woods
Battle, Bridge Battle, Best Banner, Best War Banner, Best
Inspirational Song, Arts and Sciences contest, Games, Archery
competition, Thrown Weapons competition, Rapier Battles, Pied Piper,
Siege Cooking contest. Best Hospital Encampment, Best Period
Encampment, Hosehold Support System by Merchants and Service. All
participants must declare their household affiliation before
competition. Mercenaries are welcome and encouraged to participate,
but must compete under a household banner. Lights are welcome in
both battles, but those who will use the bow and arrow, the ABD
rules are in effect. The war point rules will be provided on request.

Banner War will open for merchants at 12 noon, and for all others
at 3 pm to 10 pm (Masonic Gate Closes) on Friday 28 Sep 2001. Site
closes at 5 pm, 30 Sep 2001, everyone must be off site at that time.
Site fees are $10 for adults, ages 18 & over, $5 for minors, ages
7 – 17, 6 & under are free. Maximum mundane family is $35. Day
fees are $7 for adults, $4 for minors, 6 & under free, day fee
participants must leave site by 10 pm on Saturday nite as determined
by parking pass. Make all checks payable to the SCA Inc, Barony of
Aquaterra. The rules regarding minors entering events with more
than 500 anticipated attendance will be in effect. Merchants must
be pre-registered. This is a wet site, and all modern and An Tir
laws apply. There will be a Tavern on Saturday nite with snacks
and non-alcoholic at a cost of $3 per per person 7 and above, 6 and
under free. If you bring it with you, you must take it out with you,
no garbage containers available.

DIRECTIONS: From north or south on I-5, take Hwy 2 exit (294) in
Everett, and head east to Hwy 204 exit to Lake Stevens/Granite Falls.
Turn left onto Hwy 9, to Arlington/Granite Falls. At the third
light turn right onto Hwy 92, proceed through Granite Falls, to
second stop sign. turn left onto Mountain Loop Hwy. Continue 4.4
miles to the Masonic Park entrance on the left side of highway.
