Registration Information

Room reservations are now open for An Tir 12th Night 2022. This grand celebration will be hosted by the baronies of Wyewood and Madrone at the Double Tree by Hilton at Seattle Airport

Our room rates are available for the 6th and 10th as well, should you opt for a longer stay.

You may reserve online with this link: https://book.passkey.com/go/SCA22

You may also reserve by phone. Please call toll free (800) 222-8733. Reference the group code: SCR, or the group name: SCA 12th Night

Please rest assured that there are rooms available for all. This hotel is much larger than most used for 12th Night, and in the (very unlikely) event we book it full they will even expand our room block into their neighboring new Hilton Garden hotel. However, it can take a bit of time between block expansions so it may be necessary to try again the next day. Updates will be made as issues come up and are resolved.

**Our room block will be expanded and will be open for reservations again. If you discover it is full, please alert us at 12thnight@antir.org. The hotel adds rooms to our block in steps.**

We look forward to seeing you all!

We have negotiated a discounted rate with the Double Tree by Hilton at Seattle Airport for parking for the event. Parking will cost $12/day plus state and local taxes for a total daily rate of $16.49. Keep your ticket with you when you arrive. (Not left in vehicle.) Guests of the hotel will see this charge on their room bill. Your room key will give you in-and-out access through the gates. As you leave on the last day, simply swipe your key at the gate, and drop it in the provided drop slot.

Day trippers will use the validation machine (located near the 12th Night Gate) to receive the discounted rate. Once validated, you will be able to pay the event rate either at one of kiosks located around the hotel lobby, or at the gate (credit cards only) as you exit parking. If you forget your ticket in your vehicle, see one of the event staff at gate for a validation ticket. The validation ticket, along with your original parking ticket, will allow you to get the discounted rate at the parking gate.

The 12th Night event staff is proud to announce that we will be livestreaming An Tir 12th Night Friday night and Saturday courts. In these times of plague and hardship, we are pleased to provide those who can’t attend in person with the opportunity to bear witness online. The stream will be available (and recorded) on An Tir’s YouTube channel and Facebook page, and links will be publicized broadly the weekend of the event. For those attending the event in person, camera positions and sight lines will be clearly marked in the Grand Ballroom. If you have privacy or safety concerns, please contact the livestream coordinator, Gera Gangolffin (Jeri Sisco) via FB message, or email the event team at 12thnight@antir.org.

An Tir Peers Auction (formerly known as the Knights Auction) will be held at this event. Started in 2001, the Kingdom of An Tir, through this auction alone, has raised over $31,000 to donate to various Charities.

This year, by decree of Her Most Royal Majesty Hélène, the charity shall be supporting people who are experiencing food insecurity, something which is affecting more persons than ever with pandemic-related hardships and job loss. As An Tir spans an international border, with roughly 2/3 in the US and 1/3 in Canada, Her Majesty has chosen the following two Food Bank charities, both of which have over 97% ratings in terms of fiscal responsibility and impact:

2/3 funds to Feeding America (https://www.feedingamerica.org/)

1/3 finds to Food Banks Canada (https://www.foodbankscanada.ca/)

We hope that you will consider a donation of your time and skills for a worthy cause and help us uphold this commendable tradition of giving from our great Kingdom.

All donations are sponsored by a Peer. Royal Peers, Knights, Masters of Arms, Laurels, Pelicans, and Members of the Order of Defense are all encouraged to sponsor a populace member’s donation or to donate themselves.

Please contact Shaykha Zahra bint al-Rammah at zahrabintalrammah(at)gmail(dot)com if you have questions.

All items will be on the auction tables between 8:00 and 9:30 am Saturday, January 8th.

Silent auction will commence at 9:30 am and run until 5:30 pm. Items should be picked up between 5:45 and 7:30 pm on the 8th.

Any un-sold items will be donated to the Kingdom largess.

There will be a Ball on Saturday Night at 12th Night.  Dancing will happen Saturday after Court and dinner break.

All modern masking and vaccination requirements will be in play.  There will be a “masked under the mask” contest for the best incorporation of modern mask requirement into a period-inspired mask or headdress.

Dances selected for the ball will not require holding of hands, although dancers from the same households may do so.  Recorded music will be used, although individual musicians may contact the ball coordinator to ask about playing for specific dances, if they would like to do so. For questions about the ball, please email Sara de Bonneville at sbonnevi@wamail.net.

There will be one or more performance pieces, where the dance community can show what they have been learning during isolation.

The ballroom will also be open for socializing and celebrating the 40th Anniversary of An Tir as a Kingdom. Please join us in these big spaces and celebrate An Tir!

The Swap will be located in the Merchant’s Room. Are you wondering what is a Garb & Gear Swap?

Many of us aren’t the size and shape we were two years ago, kids have certainly grown. Some folks are changing their persona, or personal style, or retiring from eventing, or coming into active eventing. Some of us collected things we intended to use for our kit and just didn’t get around to it.

What this means is that most of us have things that other people would appreciate receiving, and also that we are in a great position to help level out Gold Keys around the Kingdom.

The plan is simple: You drop off items in good condition that are appropriate to the current state of SCA Gear. Please no plastic goblets or stretch velvet dresses or modern kilts or such. The volunteers will organize the items in the space we use. Once donated, it is free to whoever comes in and chooses it.

ANYONE can donate, ANYONE can claim. There is no money involved.

Items to consider donating include, but are not limited to:

-Garb for *all* ages and sizes, head to toe. Kids’ garb and plus size adult garb are especially appreciated. This includes haversacks and hats.

-Feast gear, especially period-appropriate cups and bowls. Appropriate fabric napkins go well in this category, as do small baskets or carrying bags.

-Baskets. Sturdy and not painted, not metal. With handles is best.

– Raw materials and tools for making period-appropriate items. Think wool or linen fabric, leather for pouches or belts, printed instructions with pictures for making turnshoes, nålbinding needles and wool yarn, small sewing kits, scribal supplies.

-Books. Books on the SCA itself, books on SCA-relevant topics, books on general history pre-17th century.

-Possibly small furniture? Like wood folding chairs?
