The Barony of Dragon’s Mist would
like to invite you to a Marshal Workshop. We will be hosting
education, training, and authorizations of Marshals of all
disciplines. And by all disciplines, we do mean just that; Heavy
Combat, Combat Archery & Thrown Weapons, Siege Engineering, Raper
Combat, Cut & Thrust, Youth Armored Combat, Target Archery, Target
Thrown Weapons, and Equestrian will be represented. If you are
interested in learning how to become a Marshal, are ready to test
for Junior or Senior status, or are an up and coming fighter ready
to authorize, this Workshop will have what you need. There will be
no seating available, so bring a chair/stool/bench/whatever if you
plan on sitting anywhere besides the ground. In this all day event,
we will provide you a lunch of finger foods and a soup dinner
(rough menus to come) to ensure that all you have to bring is your
fight gear, marshalling gear, a chair, and a bowl. Okay, maybe a
spoon.
For those needing a space to stay, we have been granted access
to Camp Taloali for no cost. Camp Taloali is a Non-Profit Camp for
the Deaf and Hard of Hearing. They are offering us access to
multiple cabins, restrooms and showers for those needing to stay
near the event overnight. If you are interested in taking advantage
of this hosplitality, contact Gwyneth Blackthorne at ladyblackthorne [AT] gmail [DOT] com. We would
appreciate a monetary donation to gift the Camp as a thank you for
their generous offer.
Gate fee for the event is $17 per
adult (with a $5 discount for SCA members), free for all children
17 and younger.
