Terror in the Tulips Tournament/Emprise of the
Sable Rose
Shire of
Midhaven
June 22-24,
2012
Mount Vernon, WA
Join us for the first ever Terror in the Tulips Tournament
on Saturday. Prizes (and bragging rights) will be
awarded in Heavy Armored Combat, Rapier, Archery, Thrown Weapons,
Equestrian, Bardic, and Arts and Sciences. Youth can compete for
prizes in Youth Armored Combat, Arts & Sciences, and
Bardic. This is meant to be a very fun and sometimes silly
event!
On Saturday afternoon (probably right before court), “The Wild
Hearts” (Duchess Angharad & Mistress Arias) will be
hosting a T-Tunic competition/fashion show. The categories
are Terrible/Tacky T-Tunics (using your worst or craziest fabrics,
etc) and Fabulously Fantastic T-Tunics (wow us!). We reserve
the right to give special recognition to those who make us
speechless with their entry (good or bad).
And, did we mention the frying pan toss? We are having one
of those too! Watch here for more information on activities and
rules.
On Sunday, watch or participate as the best of the best compete
in the Emprise of the Sable Rose. Try your skills in Fine
Rapier combat, Exciting Equestrian challenges, Heavy Armored Pas
d’Arms!
Archers, join us on Sunday for York Rounds.
HL Ivan Leskov and Duchess Angharad will be conducting a couple
of workshops on how to harness a horse and the basics of ground
driving.
