Their Excellencies Fiach & Anne-Marie, Baron & Baroness of Madrone, invite you to come to the Madrone Baronial Banquet, A Renaissance Roman Masque, April 3rd 2004 at the Nordic Heritage Museum in Seattle’s Ballard neighborhood.

The Madrone Culinary Guild will prepare a feast taken from Apicius, the famed Roman recipe book. This recipe book and Roman “masques” were very popular in Renaissance Europe, and late-period “masque” costumes are encouraged (look to http://costume.dm.net/masque/index.html for inspiration). Menu details will be published closer to the event.

Classes will be offered earlier in the day, followed by a Grand Processional and Baronial court. As befits a Masque, the feast will be followed by dancing led by Master Trahaern, and songs performed by the Madrone Madrigal Singers. The site opens at 10:00 am and closes at 11:00 pm.

The cost of the feast and the day of fun is $18.00 for members ($21.00 for non-members). There is no age discount for persons with feast tickets. Tickets for the feast must be purchased in advance, we will begin selling them February 15th. As we have traditionally sold out, and once again only 150 tickets will be offered, we encourage you to make and secure your reservation promptly. Reservations may be made by contacting the autocrat, maddydumont[at]comcast.net, or 206-782-5613 6:00-10:00 pm and must be secured by payment sent to:

Barony of Madrone
Attn: Baronial Banquet
PO Box 1715
Seattle, WA 98111-1715

Please make checks payable to SCA, Inc.-Barony of Madrone. Make sure to include the SCA name and Modern name of *each* person for whom the tickets are purchased. (Each guest will be required to provide proof of membership or payment of non-member surcharge on the day of the event.}

The site fee (without a feast ticket) is $5.00 for members 13 and older ($8 for non-members) and may be paid on the day of the event. No reservation or prepayment is needed if no feast ticket is purchased. Off-board seating will be offered in a *separate* room, and many fine restaurants are located in Ballard.

Please contact us with any questions or offers to volunteer. We look forward to a delightful day with friends old and new.
