YOU ARE HEREBY INVITED TO CONTEST FOR THE HONOR AND GLORY OF BEING A CHAMPION OF AQUATERRA!

FRIDAY:
Will mostly be for those who wish to set up early for the weekend’s events. Site fees for SCA members are $6.00 for adults age 16 and up, $4.00 ages 5-15, 4 and under free. Non-members add $3.00. Proof of SCA membership is required for the reduced fee to apply. Make checks payable to Barony Of Aquaterra, SCA, Inc. Gate opens at 3:00 PM Friday and closes at 6:00 PM Sunday. Merchant, camping and RV space is available. Camping and merchant space is free. RV’s pay $10.00 per night. Space is limited so please contact Baroness Arianne Of Falconmoors for reservations. Board games and croquet will be available for the kids. No pied piper. This is a discreetly wet site. Period containers only. All SCA and mundane pet laws apply.

SATURDAY TOURNAMENTS:
Archery: Highest overall score in Royal Rounds, modified winners choice, combat archery, crossbow round, thrown weapons and arts & sciences.
Arts & Sciences: One art entry and one science entry (no theme).
Bardic: A Bardic project, a demonstration of research & knowledge and a performance.
Games: Overall winner in chess, nineman morris and tabula.
Heavy Fighting: 10+ fighters a standard double elimination, under 10 fighters round robin.
Rapier: Double elimination round robin.
Thrown Weapons: Highest overall score in axe, knife and spear.

Additional Rules: If you don’t plan on swearing fealty to Baron Andrew & Baroness Fiamma you may not compete. Exceptions: People who are already or plan to be Kingdom Champions, or people who for modern religious reasons can’t swear fealty. They will accept an Oath or Promise of service and obedience in the case of these exceptions so long as it is communicated and acknowledged prior to the competition. They will expect our Champion to give his/her oath of fealty to us at the time he/she steps down as Kingdom Champion. Those who have previously given an Oath of Service to another branch lower than Barony may complete his/her term as Champion of that branch while concurrently serving as an Aquaterra Champion. Those who are currently Champion of another Barony may not compete.

Once you are declared our Champion, you may not compete for the office of Champion of another branch but you may compete for the office of Kingdom Champion. Exceptions: None

Rules may change prior to Tournaments.

SATURDAY EVENING:
Will be our biggest feast of the season with our Baroness Fiamma the Unquenchable preparing an amazing one-of-a-kind 13th Century Anglo-Norman feast. Seating is limited to 140 so early purchase of tickets is highly recommended. Feast hall opens at 5:30 PM and starts at 6:30 PM. Tickets are $12.00 adults ages 13 and up, $6.00 ages 5-12, 4 and under free. We are also looking for Bards, Singers, Musicians, Etc. to entertain us at the feast. If you would like to honor us with your talents please contact the autocrat.

DIRECTIONS:
From I5 North or South take the Stanwood/Camano Island Exit #212 and head west on SR 532. Drive approximately 4.3 miles to first traffic light and turn left onto 72nd Ave NW. Drive another 8/10 of a mile to first “stop sign” and turn left onto Pioneer Hwy. The Fairgrounds entrance is 4/10 of a mile ahead and will be on your left into the large grass covered parking lot. The second left entrance is for loading and unloading only. Watch for signs’.
