The Shire of Danescombe would like to invite you to attend the Tournament of Roses. Invite the one who inspires you to come and witness you give your best as we prepare to pick new defenders.
There will be Armoured Combat, Rapier, Arts and Science, Bardic, and for the first time ever we will also be taking a Cut and Thrust defender. So come and enter all 5 tournaments, or choose your battles and give us your best!
An Iron Rose tournament (for female and gender minority fighters) will follow the Armoured Combat Defender’s tourney.

Meal Information

Lunch (free with attendance) is vegetable soup with a bun.
Feast ($10 and requires registration prior to event day) will be bread, butter and tomato pesto spread. Pulled pork, bean pot navy beans, cheese noodle bake, and roasted turnip au gratin. Desert is blueberry compote tarts.

Tournament Information

rts & Science Defenders is Unlucky in Love in any medium: Judged on authenticity, creativity, visual appeal, and a 50 woods or less write up.
Armoured Combat Defenders is to be fought without shields. Other legal offhands (including bucklers) and two handed weapons are all allowed. Format to be decided day of.
Bardic Defenders is Unlucky in Love, to be voted on by the populous.
Rapier Defenders is to be a double elimination tournament.
C&T Defenders is to be a London Masters fought with Single Sword, Sword & Baton, Sword & Shield, and Longsword.

Classes Offered

Viscount Saif will be teaching: Fast fun feet flight furiously (Developing speed and explosive footwork; for all disciplines)

Mistress Desiree will be teaching a class on making Haversacks.
