Come Ye populace and celebrate the triumphant reign
of Tir Righ’s Prince and Princess Ulfgar and Renee. And join
us in welcoming the rise of our Tanist and ban-Tanist Ieuan
and Gwyneth to the throne of our great Principality.

The arms of combat have been laid to
rest over long winter months, but upon fields of powdered
snow rapier blades will be sharpened once again. Tir Righ,
time has come for a new Rapier Champion to arise.
A brief message from Guillemin de Rouen, Scar of Tir
Righ,

The Northern Winds blow, and change comes to the
land. Though my time as Rapier Champion of this Principality
has been as much a pleasure as it has been an honour, the
time has come for a new Champion to carry the regalia and
bear the name ‘Scar.’
After consultation with Their Highnesses and Their
Excellencies Tir Righ, the tournament to choose the next
Rapier Champion of Tir Righ will be held on Saturday,
February 20th, 2010, at 3:00 pm, at Tir Righ Investiture. We
will be holding the tournament in a small, separate hall a
block down from the main hall, and should therefore have some
more space than originally planned. Note that all those vying
must be inspected and ready for the invocation of the lists
at 12:00 noon.
Though the format is subject to change based on attendance,
because of time and space constraints I would like to run a
double elimination tournament, with challenges determining
the opening round, and random pairing the remaining rounds. I
would also ask the competitors to refrain from using a case
of rapiers as a weapon style, and of course to be fully
informed of the recently approved rule changes (in effect as
of this year).
During my time as Champion, and before, I have learned much
of the skill and chivalry on display by the rapier fighters
of this Principality. I am fully confident that the next
Champion will uphold a longstanding tradition of adhering to
and representing the traditions that make this great
Principality what it is.

For those who travel on the eve of this event a Heavy
fight practice has been scheduled on site.

Please remember to bring your feast gear
as there will be a simple Irish lunch available for $6.00
(includes Stew (Vegetarian available), Bun and Pop. And we
will be offering a coffee service by donation throughout the
day.

Join our Royal couples for a night of
tavern debauchery at the KatRoch Tavern located on site in
the main hall. Reminder ‘no outside alcohol’ permitted.
