Summits Summer
Investiture   –   Shire of Tymberhavene June
22-24 2018

West Laverne County

Their Alpine Highnesses Turk and Seamus cordially invite one and
all to the Investiture of Their Heirs!  The site is beautiful
West Laverne County Park, 12 miles north of Coquille, Oregon.

Site Fees:

Adults $25
Members $5 Discount
Children under 18 are Free

RV Sites are $15 additional per site, no matter how many are in the
site or RV.

Merchants – if you wish to merchant at Investiture, please contact
the Event Steward.  I would like you to include space
requirements as well.

The Park doesn’t let us drive onto the fields we use due to
sprinkler systems.  This hasn’t been a problem in the past,
but forwarning is good.

for Defender, followed by tournament

30 minutes post tournament Final Court of Turk and Seamus
30 minutes after Final Court Investiture of Attila and Eleanor
30 minutes Post Investiture Court, Lists open for Rapier

SUNDAY

8:30  Companions of the Valorous Estate Meeting (Royal
Consorts welcome as well)
9:00  Financial Committee Meeting
0930  Curia and Moot
3:00 PM  site closes

In addition to the Summits Defender Tournament there are plans for
a Rapier and a Cut and Thrust Tournament. 

CAMP FIRES – at this time it looks like camp fires will be allowed
in the permanent fire pits at least.  Fire season goes into
effect June 8th.  As you come to site be aware of the fire
condition signs.  CFPA / ODF are using a new system this
year.

Site notes: 
There is a river on site, be aware of it
There are hot showers and flush restrooms
There is little to no cell phone service on
site.  
Pets – must be under control of the
owner or a responsible party at all times – this means kenneled /
caged or leash per county ordinance.  No livestock type
animals or horses allowed per county ordinance.

Other activities will include the Summits Defender Tournament,
Tymberhavene Arts and Sciences Championship, an open field Rapier
Tournament and the Masters of Defense Invitational Tournament.

The traditional Tymberhavene arrival soup dinner will make a
return.

Directions:

From North of Roseburg – take your best route to I-5, take I-5
South to exit 119 (SR-42)

From South of Roseburg – take your best route to I-5, take I-5
North to exit 119 (SR-42)

The Following Directions are the same from either the North or
South direction:

Take SR-42 to Coquille, Oregon. Turn Right on Central St (One block
past Coquille’s only traffic light). There will be signs for the
SCA and LaVerne Park. Go Straight, pass the 4 way stop and pass the
4 way flashing stop and continue forward through the traffic light
(ok so coquille has more than one light but only one on SR-42).
Take the first right hand turn past the traffic signal. This will
be Coquille Fairview Road. Follow this road for 14 miles to LaVerne
Park. The roads will be well marked with SCA signs.

Please note that Coquille is the
last reasonably priced gas/grocery stop. There is a convenience
store with gas and groceries 5 miles before you reach the
site.  Also, be aware that most mapping programs are wildly
inaccurate for this area….
