Summits Fall Coronet 2018

From time (somewhat) immemorial, the Griffin Thrones of the Summits
have epitomized the strength, valor, and skill of the populace of
the Principality of the Summits.  Those who have graced the
Thrones have represented the People of the Summits with their
might, their counsel, and their leadership, that the people of the
Principality might be sustained and fortified in their every
endeavor.

In the continuance of the long tradition of the Principality,
comes a tournament to determine those worthy to become the Heirs to
the Griffin Thrones.  People of the Summits – Their Highnesses
joyfully request your presence in the Barony of Adiantum from
September 14th thru 16th to bear witness as the matter of the
Succession is determined by single combat.

From all corners of the Summits, we invite you to gather on the
appointed date at:

The format for the Coronet Tournament, by decree of Their
Highnesses Atilla and Eleanor, shall be:  Double elimination –
first round will be fought with great weapons, all successive
rounds shall be “bring your best”.  Heraldry for both
parties in submission or passed with at least one in a period
display. Bye fights shall be non-destructive.

In addition to the Coronet Tournament, activities will include:

–Friday evening “Travelers grilled cheese bar” hosted by Baron
Durin of Adiantum
–Thrown Weapons prize tournament
–MOD Invitational rapier tournament
–Siege cooking competition
–Saturday Victory Celebration to include:  potluck banquet,
Bardic performances, Cut and Thrust “armour as worn” torchlight
exhibition
–Artisans’ Gallery – a dedicated space for artisans to work on
current projects with a great view  of the List Field
–Full service heraldic consult table

Adults – $25
SCA Member discount – $5
Children ages 0-17 – No event fee
