A&S Competition
The Arts & Sciences competition will be based on 2 entries. Anyone wishing to prepare for Kingdom, can submit a third entry for feedback (but it won’t contribute to their score). Competitors with 3 entries must determine in advance which 2 will be used for Principality competition. Letters of intent are due at 11th night. A form will be created to get information that will help with judge selection. That form will be posted on Principality media.

Bardic Competition
For the Summit’s Bardic Championship format I want to do the standard 2 pieces + 1 for the finals. At least one of the pieces must be period. The competitors need to submit documentation for their period piece which should be no more than 500 words (around half a page).

Camping & Sleeping reservations:
Tent camping and RV space is available onsite at a cost of $15 per tent or RV. Sleeping hall/bunk reservations are available at a cost of $35 per bed. Please bring your own bedding.
Site is discreetly wet– please pack out your alcohol bottles. A dumpster is available on site for all other garbage.
NO SMOKING ON SITE, INCLUDING IN PRIVATE CAMPS. Please go off site to smoke/vape.

Accessible cabins and sleeping arrangements are available, please make sure to mark your request on your pre-registration paperwork. Parking is available beside all buildings and cabins. All buildings, classrooms and meeting spaces have ramps, accessible doorways and seating areas. We will also have a quiet area available for those needing to unplug.

A Heavy Armed Prize Tourney will be held. All entrants who provide an item in the A&S Display area will receive an extra life in the tourney. An item can include documentation of a process, pictures, a thesis, an object, an item etc.
There will be games as well as other activities available for youth and families to participate in.
Volunteer opportunities on site, please check in with staff, and retinue coordinators.
Merchants $10 per space or donation for largess. Please contact the event steward if you want to register as a merchant for this event.

10-11am Navigating the New Events System (Maeve Cunningham) – Tabernacle 1
Hands-on training on the new event request process from the Kingdom website. Get help on how to submit a request and answers to questions.
10am-noon Norse Runes (Calligraphy) (Taliesin ap Hafgan) –Tabernacle 3
The art of writing Norse “Elder Futhark” runes, their names, and meanings. This class is $5 and some materials will be provided.
Noon-5pm Research and Writing 101 and Workshop (Maude Louisiana d’Orleans) – Heritage Hall 1
This is a class to learn how to find information for documentation, how to do research for documentation, and how to make a cohesive document. The backbone to all A&S projects.
1-2pm The Consort-Fighter Dynamic (Maeve Cunningham) –Tabernacle 1
A panel and participant discussion on the details in the consort-fighter dynamic, Q&A session, and advice from experienced consorts & fighters within the Summits.
2-4pm Coptic Bookbinding (Alan Roberts) – Tabernacle 2

2-3pm Writing Runes (Taliesin ap Hafgan) – Tabernacle 3
History of runes and their uses and creation. This is the first of a 3-part series course meant to introduce the idea of Gothic “Runa” meaning Secret or Mystery (Runes, Dee J, 001). This class is $5 and some materials will be provided.
Close of court Lampwork Glass Making (Phelan Tolusmidr) – Tabernacle 3
Come spend time with Phelan on the torch if you are a beginning lampworker, just curious, or want to polish an advanced skill.
There is an AED available in the Jubilee Lodge as well as the Tabernacle. The Police, Fire and local EMS station are within 3 minutes of site. The closest hospital is 15 minutes. The nearest airport with airlift support is within 15 minutes drive time. Please call 911 in case of emergency and notify a member of the event staff.

• After approximately 5 miles, sharp right onto Fern Ridge Rd SE.
• In half a mile, turn left onto 10th Ave. The ER will be on the right.
