Welcome to the Spring Ball
“It will be held Saturday April 16th, Doors open at 4:00 pm,
( tent time still ) and will go to 11 pm.
Place will be the Eastern Star hall at 3281 Harriet street.
Price is 10 dollars at the door. “ ( Non Member
Surcharge of $5 applies )
“Hear ye, Hear ye “calls the herald. “Come one,
come all, to a Masked Ball “he smiles at the reaction
“Yes, you heard correctly, a Spring Ball with the Duck and
Drake Tavern within the Barony of Seagirt.
Costumes, you ask, It is encouraged of course, but we understand
not all will have them, so an attempt at Medieval is accepted. Come, and join in the fun as we
are welcoming newcomers to our event !
Also a quick and easy attempt – Over sized V neck Plain T-shirt (
reaches just past butt ) a black or brown belt at waist and ladies
a long skirt and lords, black / brown dress pants.
( no runners, no jeans )
Gold Key ( aka Loaner garb ) will also be at the event
I believe the Duck and Drake Tavern will open at about 4:00 pm.
There will be munchies ( bread and nuts) upon the tables. Potluck !
Snacks and nibbles, Bring whatever you wish, and enough to feed
about 6 people, snackie wise. to share and social with
others
I will bring Mask making suppplies for those wanting to make a
mask for the ball, otherwise, there are masks to be bought at
Michaels, dollerstores, and claires / ardenes
“Upstairs in the hall ” , will be the Mask
ball starting at 630 sharp.
” Downstairs will be a Tavern “, run by the lovely
Anna Jane, perhaps with game boards should people decide to bring
them, socilaizing , candlelight (oh la la).
Baronial Court to be a drive by court ( happening between the dance
sets )
“The ball will consist of Dance cards, and dances set in
timed blocks. See Schedule below
For those who do not know the dances, there will be 30 minutes of
Teaching from 530 to 6
Dancing Starts 6:30 Pm.
Will be four sets, one at 630, 730, 830 and 930
