Come one, come all to Seagirt’s Sergeants, Yeomen and Gallants
Trials!
Gentles will be vying for the honour to represent Seagirt as
Sergeants, Yeomen and Gallants. Come and give them your support as
they endure the trials to prove their worth to Baroness Letitia!
Also, Baron James Llewellyn will be sponsoring a Grand Archery
Tournament during the day.
The event will be held at the Cobble Hill Fairgrounds, across
the road from the Cobble Hill Hall. There is a field which can
accommodate camping, war scenarios and an archery range. We will
also have the use of two buildings on the property with flush
toilets.
Merchants are welcome; please contact the event steward in
advance.

Saturday, August 6
10:00 am Opening Court – Persona presentation

10:30 am Candidate departs to lay out armour off body
SYG briefing/seminar to general populace assembled at
court
11:00 am Rapier Marshal/Armour testing
11:30 am Lunch break
1:00 pm Rapier Combat testing
Archery Range Opens; tournament to be held during the day
[1:00-2:00 pm Tours with Sarra and Edward; to be
confirmed]
3:00 pm Dance testing
6:00 pm Dinner break
7:00 pm Questions from Populace
7:15 pm Historical Battle presentations
7:30 pm Bardic testing
As candidates and testers are available: Heraldry, Castles and
Fortifications, Armour and Weapons, Games, Geography, Siege
weapon testing
Sunday, August 7
11:00 am Closing Court
3:00 pm Site closes
10:00 am to 3:00 pm: Cobble Hill Sunday Market across the
street
You will be responsible for taking your garbage with you when
you leave. No fire pits or propane braziers permitted. Smoking in
designated areas only. Dogs are allowed on site and An Tir leash
laws will be in effect; please pick up after your pooch!
Site fee is $25 (less $5 discount for members); 18 and under
free. Make cheques payable to “Barony of Seagirt.” Site opens
Friday, August 5, 3:00 pm, and closes Sunday, August 7, 3:00
pm.

From Victoria (driving North on the TransCanada
Highway): On TransCanada Highway, drive 5 kms past Mill
Bay and turn left at Fisher Road (intersection with lights at the
Rona Store). Site is approx. 1.3 kms on left.
From Duncan (driving South on the TransCanada
Highway): On TransCanada Highway, pass Cobble Hill Road
and take the next right turn onto Fisher Road (intersection with
lights at the Rona Store). Site is approx. 1.3 kms on left.
