I have been informed that there’s a burn ban in effect in the
county and the local fire marshal is watching out carefully for
fires, enclosed or not. No wood fires, enclosed or otherwise.
Propane and charcoal are acceptable, but again, please make sure
you have a fire extinguisher handy.
I sincerely apologize for the confusion.

September Crown Tournament – Shire of
Hauksgarðr
Tales have come from the Shire of Hauksgarðr that the Sable
Throne must again seek its heir in a great tournament. As is
written in our laws, a great tournament shall be convened in the
fair lands of Hauksgarðr. Know that all An Tirians, and verily
all members of the Knowne World, are invited to once again bear
witness to this passage, this coming September. Aside from the
Crown Tournament, pleasures, challenges, and distractions of a wide
variety will abound.
Site Guidelines and Rules
Noise
Levels: This site is surrounded on two
sides by houses, so extra care should be taken to make sure that
parties or celebrations are kept away of those areas. Quiet
hours are from 10:00 PM onwards. Please attempt to keep
any potentially noisy activities to the Northwest area of the site,
away from our friendly neighbors.
Pets:
Pets
need to be kept on a leash at all times. We are responsible for
cleanup and restoration of any damage or “leavings”
from your pet. Please make sure to clean up after your pet and keep
them under your control.
Alcohol:
Please
keep alcohol in closed containers. Minors (under 18) are not
allowed to be in possession of alcohol, and visibly intoxicated
people should be kept under supervision.
Smoking
and “Smoking”:
Smoking is prohibited in all buildings. Smoking of illegal
substances, even those recently legalized by state law, is not
allowed anywhere on site. All SCA participants must follow modern
State and Federal laws. As it is still illegal under Federal law,
marijuana is prohibited at all SCA
functions.
Fires:
Fires
need to be in enclosed containers, at least 12” off the
ground and with a fire extinguisher within reach at all
times.
NO OPEN FIRES ALLOWED! Charcoal and Propane fire
only!
Parking
and Vehicles: Vehicles
are allowed only in designated areas. All roads on site must be
kept open for fire access. Parking will not be available until
Friday at 4:00 PM. Until that time, guests are permitted to park
near their camp, or in our designated overflow parking
area.
Showers: The site does have showers, which are located in
the western restroom area. These are free to use, and do not
require quarters to operate as the mechanism might
suggest.
Off
Limits areas: Most
of the site is rented for our use, however areas that are not will
be clearly
marked on the site map. Please make sure to respect those areas and
keep the good times on site.
