RVs:

The Klickitat County Fairgrounds has 44 RV sites with hookups (water & power). Photos showing the RV area layout and another showing the whole site can be found on the An Tir RV Eventing group on Facebook.

An additional fee of $20 for the weekend will be charged for hookups. You will be charged if you want to camp in the area where hookups are installed because the event will be charged – this is regardless of use. We are still in the process of laying out the site but will find another area for RVs away from the hookups if either you don’t want to pay the additional fee or more than 44 RVs get registered for the event.

There is a dump station on site. Use of the dump station is $5 cash to be left in a deposit box by the station.

Carrick O’Ryan (Tim O’Connell) will be the RV coordinator for the event. You can reach out to Carrick via FB Messenger or email to SeptemberCrown@antir.org.

Note: This fairgrounds charges a fee per campsite and per RV site for the event. We have evened out the fee for hookups to be consistent with what is being covered for tent/pavilion campers.

Kingdom Protector Tournament Information

ingdom Protector Tournament Format – September Crown 2025
The tournament will consist of 3 qualifying rounds and finals. The qualifiers will be target archery, thrown weapons, and combat archery. All entrants will participate in all three qualifiers.
The target ranges should be open for at least an hour before the tourney starts so that participants may warm up if they wish to. There will not be “practice” rounds for sighting or warming up with different weapons during the tournament.
Target Archery: will consist of four ends shot at novelty targets at standard distances. Three ends will be static (untimed) ends of six arrows. One end will be a timed round of as many arrows (or bolts) as can be safely shot in 30 seconds. If there are very few entrants, it may be reasonable for everyone to shoot two ends at each target (we usually have between 3 and 12 entrants). This year will use targets that appear in or are inspired by some of the Society Seasonal Archery Challenge shoots.
The scores of all the ends will be added together and this will determine their ranking in the target portion. Highest score will rank 1st, etc. In the event of a tie, each archer that ties will receive the same ranking, and the next ranking value will be skipped. (i.e. if there are two 2nd places, we will skip the ranking for 3rd and go on to 4th place.)
Thrown Weapons: will consist of five throws each with knife, axe, and spear, at standard Royal Round targets. Throwing will be consecutive, with no warm-ups when switching weapons. If there are very few entrants, it may be reasonable for everyone to throw 10 times with each weapon.
The scores of all the throws will be added together and this will determine their ranking in the thrown weapons portion. Highest score will rank 1st, etc. In the event of a tie, each thrower that ties will receive the same ranking, and the next ranking value will be skipped. (i.e. if there are two 2nd places, we will skip the ranking for 3rd and go on to 4th place.)
** There is generally a small armour-up intermission before Combat Archery, while the corridor is set up on the space previously used for target archery and armour inspection happens. This includes inspecting ammo. Please bring all your equipment/hydration to the range before the tournament as the schedule is tight.**
Combat Archery: will be a standard round-robin corridor shoot. The corridor is 10’ wide by 40’ long. Each archer is allowed 12 projectiles. They can be arrows, crossbow bolts, or combat thrown weapons, but the total cannot exceed 12.
Archers will start at opposite ends of the corridor. Archers with bows will start with an arrow nocked, but not drawn. Those with crossbows will start with the crossbow cocked and loaded and pointed up and away. Individuals using hand thrown weapons can start with the weapons in their hand(s).
At the “LAY ON”, the combatants will start shooting/throwing at their opponent. The first to “kill” their opponent is declared the victor. Standard SCA kill zones (torso/head) are used. Hits to bows or quivers are non-destructive. Hits to a leg mean the archer must go to their knees. Hits to an arm, means the archer loses the use of that arm. If an archer cannot load and shoot their bow/crossbow, they should yield at that point. Combatants can move anywhere in the corridor, but can not pass their opponent. All projectiles must meet the “clear the bow” rules for minimum range. If a combatant steps over the lines of the corridor, they are considered dead.
The combat archery portion will be done as a round-robin format. If we get 6 or less entrants, we will do a double round robin. If we get too many (unlikely) we will do a double elimination.
Tie breakers in the combat archery will be determined by their head to head results. (i.e. if two fighters tie in the win/loss column, the victor of their matchup in the round robin will get the higher ranking)
Determining finalists:
Each qualifying discipline’s scores will be ranked (whoever does best, gets 1st, etc). Each entrant’s rankings for TA, TW, and CA will be added and the two best (lowest numerical) overall placings will advance to finals.
For example, if a person placed 1st in target archery, 3rd in thrown weapons, and 5th in Combat Archery, their combined number is 9. This is a less good ranking than someone who placed second at everything, for a combined total of 6. Best combined rankings encourage everyone to be well-rounded, and invested in all three of these missile activities.
Finals:
The format for the finals will be determined on the day by Their Majesties in consultation with the Royal Archer or their delegated deputy.
For questions, please contact Athelina Grey, Royal Archer.

Unbelt Tournament Details

Here is the format for the September Crown Unbelt Tournament:
Format: Rotating Bear Pit
Concept:
1. At lists, each unbelted fighter will be assigned a number and an initial starting field.
2. Two fighters will enter the field and fight
a. The opponent will report to the list individual and report the number of the winner, awarding points to the winner
i. Winner will hold the field
ii. List individual will instruct the opponent to go to the next field
b. Double kills will not be refought and both fighters will go to the next field
3. Chivalry are encouraged to participate and may cut the line to test an unbelt under the following conditions:
a. The unbelt must be actively holding a field
b. Chivalry must stager if they are to cut the line i.e. Chivalry, Unbelt, Chivalry, Unbelt
4. If the unbelt is fighting a member of the Chivalry and is victorious, the unbelt will continue to hold the field, and be awarded a point
5. If the unbelt is fighting a member of the Chivalry and is not victorious, it will count as a double kill and both the unbelt and Chivalry will leave the field.
6. Time frame for the tournament will be based off what is available for the schedule and number of participants, up to an hour maximum for bear pit portion.
Finals
1. Finals will be a top 8, single elimination, best 2 out of 3.
2. Finalist will be the top 4 individuals from the main tournament, and one pick from the following:
a. The Crown
b. The Order of the Rose/Order of Valorous Estate
c. The Chivalry
d. The Lists
We are asking the Order of Chivalry to please provide prize support for the tournament.
