WAR POINTS:
Sealion Points in (half) a nut shell a.k.a. War Points Part I
There will be more to come, but first, champions!
We would love to see our Seagirt Champions engage and challenge others! The challenges will not be war points but they will be cheered on and honoured (and looked for!)
Now, on to Points!
Heraldic:
“A Salute to Your Most Noble & Worthy Opponent” This point is awarded to the side who’s person comes up with the most polite way of saying, “let’s fight, honey!” Please report any awesome salutes to the Baron or Baroness of either side if witnessed, so they may hear it repeated. This can be in the form of a honourable challenge, a heralding, a verse, a song or even largesse.
A&S Point:
“Cover Me Honey!”
This challenge is the creation of any ‘consumable honey based item in a dozen small servings’ (like 12 cookies) which will be judged by a panel consisting of an equal number of persons from each Lions Gate and Seagirt. Please supply an ingredient list (for allergies).
Bardic:
“Ooooh Honey. Oh Sugar Sugar”
Bring your sweet, your sappy and corny-syrup and lighthearted performances for this Bardic War Point. Sign up with Jaz to perform. The populace decides the finalists from each side. Finalists compete in a battle for 1st place! B&B and a Tir Righ Representative will decide the final winner.
Forester:
“Happy Bees”
Ethically foraged items, tagged with the following:
– What’s your name?
– What’s your Barony?
– What’s the Plant?
– Is it Death or Dinner?
Barony with the most tagged items wins. Central point for drop off. Coronets to tally Sunday before court.
Service Point:
“Worker Bees”
Selected people will be handing out wee bees for notice of service given and offered. If you see someone doing something awesome please let us know and we will get them a bee.
During Court on Sunday morning there will two bowls, one for each barony, and those who have received bees can walk up and REPRESENT by placing them in whichever bowl they choose. Winning side has the most bees.
MARTIAL EXTRA’S
We will be hosting extra Heavy Tournaments. A Prize Tourney hosted by Beorn and a Newcomer Tourney hosted by Daniel Collick
MARKET DEMO INFORMATION:
We have invited 30+ medieval and fantasy themed local vendors from around the island. In a separate area, overlooking the warfield, demo-goers may pay $10 Cash (youth free) to enjoy the market and get a demo of our amazing SCA events. The Market is open from 10am-4pm, and then it will be closed and ALL non-sca related demo-goers escorted off site. Think a mini June-Faire.
The Vendors currently confirmed (Though more are potentially in discussions and I’ve set aside space for our usual market vendors in the SCA if they attend)
