A Knight’s Ram’s Tale!

When last we saw Beauregaard, the Fabulous Golden Fleece of Ramsgaard, his newly-minted protector was escorting him from London, much to the relief of a certain playwright. Since then, very few firm reports have come from the much-beloved Ram. What adventures has he had? Where did he get that armour? Why does his Guaardian appear so tired all the time? And who is the mysterious Mme Chérie Dujour?

Ramsgaard presents the next chapter in Beauregaard’s story: “A Ram’s Tale!”

There will be themes of courtly love, of changing one’s destiny, of the generosity of friends, of unrestrained, outrageously extravagant heralds… Opportunities to compete abound! We ask all who would vie for the position of Beauregaard’s protector to come to the Shire of Ramsgaard on the weekend of March 14-16 to compete in the multiple challenges required to become Ram’s Guaardian!

Once again we are in the North Thompson Fall Fair Hall, on the south side of the Agriplex grounds, east of Dunn Lake Road. The address is:

Fee Type Cost
Adult Site* $25.00
Youth/Child Site (18 and younger) Free
Merchant (in addition to Site Fee) $15.00 or
Donate equivalent value item(s) suitable for largesse.
*SCA Members will receive a $10.00 member discount off the cost listed above.
*Senior (65+) or Adult Student: receive a single $5.00 discount upon providing valid government or student ID.

Lodging Information

Camping is permitted on site!
Lots of room for RVs in the parking lot! (Sorry, no hookups.)
Or crash in the hall!

Local accommodations less than 10 minutes from the Fall Fair Hall:

Prices range $90 to $110 per night per person, based on 2-person minimum.

Meal Information

This year, we will be having a potluck dinner Saturday evening. Bring food and prepare to stay for an evening of fun and frolicking!

Gate, marshals, chatelaines, kitchen helpers, activity co-ordinators, set-up, tear-down… We need people in all areas of the event.

WANTED: Marshal in Charge (MiC)

If you like hitting or stabbing your friends and being hit or stabbed in return, we need your help! If you enjoy putting holes in things from a distance, we need your help! If you enjoy helping others do the hitting, stabbing, shooting or flinging, we need your help!
Without an MiC, we cannot do any stabby, hitting or thwacking. {sadface}

PERKS:

Early entrance to the event. The gratitude of Ramsgaard and all her neighbours. The chance to help run some fun competitions. You may even get a one-on-one meet n’ greet with Beauregaard, the Fabulous Golden Fleece of Ramsgaard!

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • A currently authorized Senior Marshal with a current SCA membership.
  • Preferably someone who has organized martial activities in the past. *
