Doors at 4 p.m.

The tourney season is winding down, the firewood is stacked and
already being used, and it’s time to celebrate the end of a great
summer…

Food! Simple, hearty, stick-to-your-ribs,
prepare-for-winter…
Games! Some are organized (and never seen before!)
and some you can bring yourself…
Company! That’s you!

Menu:
Beef
pottage (beef stew, loaded with meat and veg, full of flavor)
Vegan pottage (vegan stew, loaded with vegetables, full of
flavor)
Breads
Butter
Cheese from Fjorlief
Yoghurt cheese
Compote (stewed dried fruit with cinnamon and cream)

Donations of other foods welcome…

From Hawa (Ahveh):
Treats: dates, tahini, green cardamom, pistachios, rolled in sesame
seed or coconut…
And perhaps some rice pudding made with cinnamon-stick and green
cardamom-infused coconut milk, and garnished with
pistachios…

Tickets available
from Halima Al-Rakkasa, $15 adults and $7.50 ages 12-18. Cheques
made out to SCA-Shire of Hartwood. The
deadline is September 15th.

Note that there is limited seating! Payment is your only guarantee
of a spot at the table.
