Long
has the peace lived between the Shire of Druim Doineann and the
Barony of Dragons Laire.  Generous has been the support
and the aid of Dragons Laire to Druim Doineann which has greatly
enriched and enlarged us all.

Alas
and alack!  Our peace
is shattered!  Hear our
tale of weal and woe:

Be it
known that the Shire guards well the ocean approach to the central
baronies.  It has been
our duty to keep safe the silver shining shores of this area of our
kingdom (and enables us to make a profit).  All who sail it well know that
only ships of peace and trade dare enter this side of fair An
Tir.

But
woe upon us, there has been a raid this summer!  Deer carcasses were found on the
beach mere feet from a madrone tree.  Two sheep are missing, and one
is so traumatized that he will not come out of the
shed!  Sheared onto
the one side of that poor sheep was a madrone tree.  On the other side was this
warning:  We don’t have
to.

These
poaching scoundrels and sheep-stealing miscreants (who have
dishonored one of our prize sheep) must pay
restitution!  We demand
that the honor of this poor, mistreated, and mutilated sheep be
restored for he is traumatized at the sight of Sable, on a pile argent a madrone
tree proper, in base a laurel wreath Or—the arms of the
Barony of Madrone!

The
call has gone forth to gather Druim Doineann and Dragon’s Laire
together, make and garner weapons, and prepare the long ships . . .

family fee cap, $20.

Non-member
surcharge (NMS) of $5 will be applied to each adult that is unable
to provide proof of membership. The NMS is not included in the
modern family site fee cap.

The
site does not have potable water or waste disposal. Please bring
water and be prepared to pack out what you bring in.

Reservations:
  Highly advised for all
large groups and recreational vehicles. “Traditional” camping sites
are not guaranteed. Reservations must be received no later than
Monday, July 23^rd. Please contact Event Steward THL

Due to safety concerns, most “traditional” site will be
unavailable.  Parking is limited so please carpool if
possible.  All cars must be in the parking area after
unloading.

Happenings:

Championships. 
Druim Doineann will be hosting three separate championships:
Rapier, Archery, and Thrown Weapons.  Bring your best to the
field!

Fighting. 
There is a diverse array of fighting opportunities available this
event starting with the Friday evening Valhalla torchlight tourney.
 Saturday will involve
several war scenarios (complete with castle) for war points!
 There will be
prizes.

Archery. 
Crossbows and hand bows allowed.

Sheep
War. 
Guard your flock from wolves and strange denizens of the night that
would steal your sheep!  A dusk-to-dawn competition that
inspires contestants to decorate and/or dress up their flock while
acquiring other’s sheep.

Volunteering. 
Sign up, lend a hand, and earn war points for your
cause.

Arts
& Sciences Competitions

Bardic
Competition. 
Earn baubles and win a war point for your cause.

Innovative
Duct Tape & Twine Competition. 
Bring your creative side to the great outdoors and earn a war
point.

Siege
Cooking Competition. 
Please preregister as soon as possible with the Lady Aileen of
Dragons Laire so enough ingredients will be brought.
