DRUIM DOINEANN SHEEP
WAR RULES

OBJECT: PROTECT YOUR
OWN FLOCK WHILE INCREASING ITS NUMBERS. THE TEAM WITH THE
MOST SHEEP WINS.

THERE IS HONOR AMONG THIEVES IN THIS WAR!
IT IS NOT A CONTACT SPORT. ANYONE USING FORCE OR VIOLENCE
WILL BE DISQUALIFIED!

All teams start with
one sheep only.

All participants will
need a working flashlight.

NO CHILDRENALLOWED,
FOR SAFETY REASONS.

YOUTHS (15-18) ONLY
WITH PARENTAL SUPERVISION.

STAKE AND TETHER SHEEP
IN CANP, IN PLAIN VIEW.
(YOU
MAY DRESS UP OR DISGUISE YOUR SHEEP, BUT YOU MAY NOT HIDE OR
COMPLETELY COVER THEM UP.)

The correct response
to a theft is catch a thief with a flashlight beam and cry
“WOLF”, BEFORE THEY ARE ABLE TO LEAVE
YOUR CAMP WITH IT!!

Once they have left
your camp it is a legitimate theft. Players are bound by
HONOR to stop and return the sheep if they are caught in the
campsite.

NO
CUTTING TEATHERS-
you may untie them, or take them. It is
not safe to be running in and out of crowded campsites with
any exposed blade, and is also unfair.

NIGHT
SECURITY MONITORS ARE ALLOWED TO
PLAY
-if
they declare so from the start, but secret alliances
are not allowed!

In plain
view”
– also means not above normal range of
eye level (6ftmax)
. No hiding then on biffies or in
trees, etc.

PLEASE LIMIT
PLAY-
to areas
where other people are playing and take care not to invade or
disturb those who are not playing.

SHEEP RUSTLING STOPS
AT 6AM SUNDAY! Any attempt to steal sheep after 6am will
result in being disqualified!

Sheep parts: Alas,
they are wooden, and subject to loss of limbs…sheep
parts only count as a sheep if you have the body and
head.

Have fun and stay
safe!!! (NO SHEEP WARS OUTSIDE THE NORMAL ENCAMPMENT AREAS.
Be cautious about the forest and wildlife.)

THERE WILL BE
ABSOLUTLY NO “SACRIFICIAL” SHEEP
BURNING!!!!!

VIOLATORS WILL BE
DISQUALIFIED!!!

Arts and
Sciences:

Medieval Artifact of Duct Tape
and Twine”

Obtain materials
packet at gate. Use only the tape and twine supplied. Add up
to 3 objects from nature, if you like. Create a replica of
something used in the
Middle Ages
. Judging will be at the Gazebo before the
Saturday feast.

“Best
Backhanded Compliment”

(An insult disguised
as a compliment)… Use your most eloquent and polite
verbiage, to forsoothly express your dislike and disgust for
an imaginary Scoundrel or Wicked Woman.  To be performed during
the feast.

“Best
Tall Tale/Incredible
Alibi”
: In olden times there were often cases
when an accused would be forgiven, if their excuse were is
fantastically entertaining and amazing as to move the
audience to grant forgiveness, regardless of guilt. (Perhaps
the theory was that a good storyteller is too valuable to
waste.)

In this spirit, choose
from one of the scenarios and tell the court why you should
be excused for your offense!

OR: if you feel
compelled to confess to a hitherto undiscovered crime, feel
to do so. Stories to be performed during the
feast.

Scenario #1: The Kings
favorite cookies are missing and you were discovered asleep
in the kitchen with crumbs on your face and tunic.
EXPLAIN.

Scenario #2: Your
master sent you on an errand three years ago, to bring back a
famous soothsayer and you have returned alone.
EXPLAIN.
