This is a Level 1: Other (Branch primary events of regional or Kingdom interest) event.

The Port of Silcott is once again besieged by roving bands of brigands from the East, and South, and North… well from all over. Thus do we call for aid from our Great Neighbors, those brave souls of the Inlands! Ties of old call to the Baronies of Wastekeep, Wealdsmere, and Vulkanfeldt, as well as good cousins throughout the lands of An Tir. Come to our aid, and a share of our bounty! Fighting and food, merry-making and mead! Let us all protect these lands of our Great King and Queen from the foul highwaymen.

EVENT SITE: Chief Timothy Park (Silcott Island), 13766 US-12, Clarkston, WA 99403
Site opens Friday at noon – merchants and those needing an earlier arrival, please contact the event steward. Site closes at 2pm Sunday.

FEES: Adults 18 and older = $30, Youth 17 and under = free. $10 discount for SCA members. Checks payable to COLLEGE OF LYONSMARCHE.

Note: No technology at gate so please bring Cash or Check. Verizon and a regional carrier Inland Cellular works reasonably well at the Honor War site. Most other cell carrier networks struggle. SCA members please have a blue card with you, or print your membership, or have it saved to your phone. Do not assume that you will be able to go to sca.org membership to pull it up when you arrive at gate to sign in.

Driving Directions:

From the west: Follow Highway 12 towards Clarkston, WA. At the bottom of Alpowa Grade (approximately 5 miles before Clarkston), take a left and cross over the bridge to Silcott Island / Chief Timothy Park.

PARKING – is a very big deal to Chief Timothy Staff. We love camping and having Honor War at Chief Timothy Park. Every vehicle on site Friday, April 12th must have an Honor War Parking “Dragon Pass” which you will get at our Lyonmarche Gate when you pay your event site fee. Just like other event Dragon Passes, we will need you to write your name, branch, and phone #. If you leave your headlights on, or your car starts honking, or you are parked in the wrong place, we need to be able to find you. If you arrive before our Lyonsmarche gate is setup on Friday (it happens now and again), then pay the nice person at the Chief Timothy Park entrance booth their Day Use Parking fee of $5, and we will swap it out for an Honor War Dragon Pass and will discount the driver’s event fee by $5.

If you have a rented a cabin or rented an RV spot with hookups, then you will also get a Chief Timothy Parking Tag at their entrance booth. You will need to display both.

If you arrive on Saturday April 13th or Sunday April 14th, then you will need to pay the Chief Timothy Day Use parking fee of $5 at the Park entrance booth and display that Park Day Use Parking Pass. Saturday April 13th, we will discount the vehicle driver $5 off of their Honor War site fee. If you plan to camp Saturday night, then we will swap out your Chief Timothy Day Use Parking Pass for an Honor War Dragon Pass so your vehicle can stay over night.

Do not ask if you can drive on the grass. You know the answer is no. Vehicles on grass = broken sprinkler heads that we will need to replace. Super long stakes are great for wind, but also bad for sprinkler systems. Please use your best judgement.

Boat launch parking lot is for unloading, then please move your vehicle to the upper west lot past the RV dry lot camping area. We must keep the lower water end of this parking lot clear of vehicles so that locals can launch their boats. You will have an Honor War Dragon Pass. We will find you and ask you to move. If you have a handicap plaquard, or have mobility issues so that walking from camping to the Day Use area is a challenge, then please as best you can park at the top end of the parking lot past the bathrooms. On Saturday night, people are constantly walking across this parking lot to go visit the Artemesian fire for Bardic. The less cars and trucks the nicer it looks and better visibilty walking when it is dark.

————————————————————-

SHOWERS – There are hot, free showers in the Day Use bathrooms. We will check to confirm they still work at our pre-Honor War site walk through.

CABINS – Alas all 4 cabins have been rented.

RVs with no hookups can park in the weekend parking lot at the northwest end of the boat launch parking area as part of your Honor War site fee. This is a very large area and has always been First-Come-First-Serve for where you park your RV/Camper. It seems to work out fine every year. If you have questions, please contact our Lyonsmarche Seneschal Aki Nakagawa who will be RV camping in this area.

RV camp sites with Electric and Water cost $48.50/night + tax. Site 02 is reserved for the Archery Range. As of 3/1/24 Sites 01, 03, 04, & 05 have been reserved likely by people attending Honor War. I would suggest if you decided to reserve an RV pull-through site to chose those on the other side of the road #33, 32, 31 in that order if available. It depends if you want river side or a shorter walk.
