Highland / Fjord War

Lords and Ladies war lingers. Men in skirts have been seen in the hills
around Krakenfjord. Pirate ships are harassing our shores. We fear the
dreaded shire to our south has again opened its gates and spewed forth it’s
vile war machine. Be you friend or foe to our cause the Shire of Krakenfjord
invites you to do battle and decide if the Shire gets razed or the raiders
get pushed back to Dregate.
Be your weapon pen, pole arm, rapier blade, or razor wit you could be the
one person to tip the scale on behalf of your shire of choice.

There will be war points awarded for Heavy, Rapier, Arts and Sciences,
Archery and Bardic. The theme for the arts and sciences competition is:
“Tools of War”, the Bardic theme is comedy.

There will be merchants, and demonstrations of throw weapons such as axe and
spear.

Site Fee: Adults $8.00, Children 6-12 $5.00, Children 5 and under free.
Day fee of $4 per person, $2 for children.

Site info: The site is the Tillicum Girl Guide camp Vernon, BC. Make your
best way to Vernon, BC. At the North end of the city turn east on Silver
Star Road. Follow Silver Star road through Vernon and out of town towards
the ski hill. 5.7 km past Pleasant Valley Road, turn right onto Tillicum
Road. There will be a sign. Follow the signs along Tillicum Road for 3.2 km.
The camp is on the right and is clearly marked. Limited indoor crash space
is available in a communal bunk bed setting.
