Finally, time for those meetings that need to get done. Time
to discuss policy and trends, get to know people and
procedures. Peerage, officer and Crown Principality meetings
during the day at St Thomas More Collegiate School in Burnaby
BC. There will be a hospitality area during the day with
coffee, tea and goodies. Saturday afternoon, a tournament for
the Heavy fighters. Sunday afternoon: two tournaments for the
Rapier fighters. Saturday evening (at the Orangemen’s Hall)
features a Chinese Tavern and Dim Sum snacks which will be
included in your site fee. There will be a cash bar on site.
In accordance with BC liquor laws, NO outside alcohol is
permitted. Legal drinking age in BC is 19 years of age. Bring
your ID. There will be a prize for the most authentic period
Chinese garb (NOT Mongol or Japanese) as well as for best
effort. The Chinese Tavern will be set up with cushions on
the floor. If you have any cushions that you can bring to add
to the décor, please bring them. There will be tables
and chairs for those who would be uncomfortable sitting on
cushions. For visitors from the United States – US
immigration requires US citizens to carry Photo
Identification (driver license acceptable) and either birth
certificate or passport when going to or from Canada. Site
fee: adults $10.00 Canadian, $6.00 US. Crash space and

posted to both sites. St Thomas More Collegiate School – 7450
– 12th Avenue, Burnaby (corner of 12th Street and 12th
Avenue). From the US Border – Highway 1-5 North to Peace Arch
Border Crossing. After you cross the Border, take Hwy 99-A
North to the Patullo Bridge. Cross the bridge. Stay in the
left hand lane. Turn left on 10th Ave. Go West to 12th
Street. Turn right. Go North on 12th Street to 12th Ave. The
school is on the right. Orangemen’s Hall – 333 – 6th Street
in New Westminster (corner of 6th Street and 4th Avenue).
From Vancouver or points North of Vancouver – your best route
to Hwy 1 East, then take the Brunette Ave exit West / South
to New Westminster. Follow Brunette Ave; turn left on
Columbia St. Turn right onto 6th Street. The site will be on
your right, between 3rd and 4th Ave. From points East of
Vancouver – your best route to Hwy 1 West, then take the
Brunette Ave exit West / South to New Westminster. Follow
above directions. From the US Peach Arch Border Crossing –
you will be on Hwy 99 North. Take the Hwy 91 North exit to
New Westminster. After you go over the Alex Fraser Bridge,
take Hwy 91-A North to New Westminster. As you come off the
Queensborough Bridge, stay right towards New Westminster and
6th Ave. In a few blocks, the road will fork and curve right.
Take the left “fork” onto 6th Ave and follow it to 6th
Street. Turn right on 6th Street. The site will be on your
right, between 3rd and 4th Ave. From the Tsawwassen Ferries,
you will be on Hwy 17 as you come down the causeway. Take the
Hwy 99 North exit to Hwy 91 East – New Westminster. Follow
Hwy 91 to Hwy 91-A to New Westminster. Follow above
directions.
