Come and join Glymm Mere as we spend the day celebrating the Arts & Sciences and Bardic. We will be holding the A&S and Bardic Championships, there will be lots of socializing space available so that people can share their current projects.

To enter either competition you must let Their Excellencies know at GlymmMere.Baron@antir.org and GlymmMere.Baroness@antir.org by February 14.
Bardic
When entering the Bardic competition, please keep these guidelines in mind:
-At least one performance must be a period piece with documentation. This piece will be judged.
-Documentation is to be a maximum of 1000 words.
-A brief oral summary should be given before the performance. Please bring 5 copies.
-The other piece may be period or SCA inspired. This piece will be voted on by the populace.
-The entrants may, if they wish, enlist others to assist in one performance.
-One entry must be a solo performance.
Arts and Sciences
When entering the Arts & Sciences competition:
A champion of Glymm Mere is expected to support and encourage their arts both in and out of the Barony. They will also be expected to assist in the competition to select their replacement. Please let our Bardic Champion Dame Elanor know if you have any questions about the Bardic competition, A&S competition questions should be sent to our A&S Champion Laeriel.

This is a basic overview of what a plumbata is. We will explore the when where how and why of it’s use along with some information on construction.
Heraldry – Your Key to Better Bling

Now that you’ve got it, what do you do with it? We will discuss how people in the Middle Ages used their heraldry to decorate their possessions (short answer, on everything), and ways we can do the same to beautify our stuff and at the same time identify it with ourselves.
Beginning Drop Spindle

Don’t throw it, spin it! Beginner’s drop spindle class. Fee includes a drop spindle and 2 oz of roving.
Beginning Bodhran
Instructor: HL Gareth Albaric o’Eastbrook
Time: 4:00 PM
Fee: Free
Will teach basics of how to play the Irish hand drum, or bodhran. Students should provide their own drum and tipper but a few loaners will be available.
