FOREST WAR IS HAPPENING!!!!! Many of you are probably wondering how the fire and travel advisories are affecting us so here is an update. We have the OK from the landowners and have checked with the Forestry department as to how we can cooperate with them and have a fun and safe event. The Shire of Coill Mhor has approved torches and braziers to light up our whole event safely. Please bring only hand-held enclosed lanterns for your personal use. Please bring water buckets and fire extinguishers – the more we have the better. We need to use EXTREME caution when travelling on the gravel road to and from the site. Go slowly and most importantly DO NOT drive on the grass. The heat from your exhaust can cause a fire. If you have to pull over to allow a vehicle to pass -have someone get out and walk behind the car to make sure you have not caused a spark. The site itself is very lush and green and we have a beautiful lake. If we are all very careful we will have a fabulous event.

Calling all warriors of Tir Righ. Rumour has it that rogues from Avacal are planning their annual invasion of our beautiful lands. Forest War IV will be fought this year at beautiful Succour Lake. Many other activities planned including archery, rapier, boffer, belly dance and courtly dance instruction, brewing competition, bardic fire, and Pied Piper. On site tavern will host a potluck feast on Saturday eve, cost is a dish to feed 10 (as medieval as possible). Great prizes up for grabs in many areas. Merchants welcome, donations to prize baskets appreciated. Merchants, please contact the autocrat for space requirements. Easy access to the lake, parents watch your smalls. Footwear is needed on the beach area. Limited drinking water is available, please bring your own. Fires in designated areas and braziers only and as permits allow. Site is discreetly damp. Site fees: Adults $7.00, age 10-16 $4.00, family cap $20.00 plus $4.00 non-member surcharge as required. Site opens 3:00 pm Friday, closes 4:00 pm Sunday.
