It is time to shake off the snow of winter and join with
friends for a day of revelry and feasting.  Please join
the Canton of Silverhart on February 12, 2011 for our annual
winter feast – Fimbulvinter!  The theme of the day
will be “Feast of
Fools
!”  In keeping with this tradition
there will be a Lord and Lady of Misrule declared. 
Enjoy a day turned upside down! This will be a served feast
menu to be posted on-line closer to event, we will be also
holding a food drive to collect food for the local food bank,
we ask that anybody entering comcompetitions donate two

non perishable food items

The hall opens at 10 AM and closes at 9 P.M  .

I also Learned that there is no open flame indoors, so no
candles during feast


Site fee Feast: 16 and up $15 and 1 non perishable food
item,
 under 16-6 $10,
 5 and under free

non feast fee is
16 and up $10.00, and one nonperishable food item
15-6 $5.00

5 and under, still free

$5 sircharge for non members.
please make checks out to SCA Inc, Canton of Silverhart

If you wish to attend the feast, make reservations with the
Autocrat, so we can have a head count

rapier to follow

12:00 P.M A&S Competition

1;00 P.M.Araviere is teaching a eastern
dancing class
 

2:30 P.M. There will be a documentation class
4:00 p.m. Dancing
5:00 P.M. court, to announce winners
6:00 P.M. feast
9:00 P.M. site closes

Menu:

this is what is planned so far

soup course, a roasted meat course
(likely pork or chicken), oatcakes and cheese. vegetable and
the dessert course

there will be a more updated menu closer to the event.

dessert competition:

Come all you bakers and sweetie makers, at Fimbilvinter there
will be a dessert competition with categories, best period
dessert and a best dessert period. your desserts will be
judged and served at the feast. The fallowing will be needed.
list of ingredients used, and documentation if you’re going
for period. Remember to bring two non perishable food items
for each Competition you enter to donate, as this is also a
food drive for our local food bank also
