Still invite you join the Barony of Montengarde to their fun summer
camping event Dragonslayer/Hidden Treasures, July 6 – 8, 2012.

Our Heavy and Archery Championships will be held, as well as
numerous other activities including the popular Friday night shoot,
a Mongolian- themed Hidden Treasures shoot, rapier, thrown weapons,
children’s events, a feast among the forest and a bardic fire
Saturday evening.

Merchants are welcome to set up their tents and tables along the
path to the clubhouse.

A roast beef supper will be held on Saturday night by the Calgary
Archers Club. The cost of the feast is $15.00, and can be prepaid
to Brian at the Calgary Archery Center, 4855 47th Street SE.

This year at Dragonslayer, we will be having a Hafla on Saturday
night! What is a Hafla, you ask. It is a middle eastern party full
of dancing, drumming, visiting and merriment! If you were at May
Crown that we hosted a couple of years ago, you may recall a middle
eastern party montengarde hosted on the Friday night. We had such a
great success, that we thought we would bring it home to
Montengarde! So here is what I am asking from you. Bring your rugs!
Bring your pillows! Bring your drums! More importantly, bring
yourself! And join us on Saturday night under the Baronial
pavillon! If you have any tent hangings, etc, that you would like
to bring, we can decorate the pavillon to give it a very middle
eastern feel! Any donations of snack food or drink would be GREATLY
appreciated!! Think finger type foods. Nuts, olives, dried fruit,
etc!!

Site opens at noon Friday, and closes 2:00pm Sunday.
No hookups for Trailers – Trailers are to be parked in the parking
lot – vehicles must unload at the parking lot and then be moved to
the Clearwater Brook Camp for overnight or weekend parking – follow
the signs!
