My Lords and Ladies! The Barony of Lions Gate invites you to join us for a weekend of learning and dancing at A&S and Days of Dance 2008. This event will include two days of one hour A&S classes and one hour dance classes, the Lions Gate A&S defenders challenge, a parking lot cordoned off for heavies and fencers to play, lunch food for purchase by Yassir, a potluck dinner, and an Saturday evening filled with games, dance, and fun.
Everyone is invited to join us in the great hall. Please bring finished projects for display and ongoing projects to work on as we spend the day teaching and learning.

I have spoken to our current A&S Defender, Maeda Mariko, and she has requested our tournament format be:
What I would like the minimum requirements to be is ONE Art entry and ONE Science entry with verbal documentation (15 minutes or so of explaination with some questioning) . Better if visual documentation is provided and even better if it has written documentation.
Bonus points for being on a spring theme (however tenuous).
Judging will be done using the Principality of Tir Righ judging forms:

All entrants are asked to provide some details of their entry by the 31st of January to assist in ensuring judges skilled in their medium are on hand for the event.

Potluck Supper (please have contributions to the kitchen by 5pm including list of ingredients. )

There will be a delicious potluck cold buffet on Saturday evening to prepare for a long night of dancing. Please bring a dish to serve 10 hungry adults that requires no heating.

For what to bring, please follow the plan below by the first letter of your mundane last name. Please include a list of ingredients with your contribution.

Revel
Please join us in the evening on Saturday, February 9th from 7:00 PM to 11:00PM for a revel to celebrate the love of dance! Dances from the day as well as other dances will be on the dance program. There will be some dances that are taught and called. There will be a games table as well. If you are unable to join us for the day, please come for an evening of dance and fun! If you are just attending the revel, the site fee is $ 5.00

This is a dry event. There will be a NO alcohol available for purchase during the revel. No outside alcohol is permitted. Pop and juice will be available for purchase
