After a two year hiatus Daffodil is back. Come watch the tournaments to determine Seagirt’s Defender and Captain of the Grenadiers.

Hammergoose Workshop – Athelina Grey
Time: 11am – 2pm

Do you have the parts for arrows but need to assemble them? Are you working on a bracer or some other leatherwork? Do you want access to an archery-related documentation library without having to buy the books yourself? Archos Athelina will provide workshop space for folks to work on arrows and leatherwork, and also access to selected parts of her archery documentation library. This will be open for drop-in from the morning through until about 2:30pm when tidying will begin in preparation for dance class.
Rules for the workshop/library space:
-equipment and books do not leave the space
-do not touch items unless given permission
-be nice to the stuff -tidy up any mess you make
-be nice to other folks using the stuff
-expect there to be intermittent hammering noises from tooling leather, and some odd smells -if you use consumables, please reimburse
-if you bring your own tools, make sure they don’t get mixed up with other folks’ -you can totally photograph some pages out of books for research purposes: remember to photo the publication info too!
-books do not go on or near the crafting tables
-if you are not familiar with how to use a tool, please ask for assistance/training
-children must be accompanied by their guardian and able to act calmly and safely
Stuff that Athelina will provide:
-6 arrow fletching jig, courtesy of Ts’ai T’ien-p’u
-arrow spine tester -leather punch, some mallets, sponges, various leather stamps and tools – scissors, leather needles, some less than fabulous exacto knives. THESE ITEMS ARE SHARP.
-fletching glue (fletch tite), point glue (ferrl-tite), torch*, pliers, wood block, taper tools
-files, tiny saws, sand paper for cutting self-nocks
-a handful of spare points in various sizes
-probably some spare nocks, but no guarantee they’ll match your colour scheme
-paper towels, probably some nitrile gloves, maybe a few leather stains
-cutting mats -various books -some bracer patterns Some leather in bracer sized chunks will be available, $10 a bracer, fcfs
*torch may or may not be able to be used. Have to check.
Learn the Ukelele – Jaz Laverick

Please bring your ukuleles and I will provide the basic Lute to Uku sheet music and teach you how to read it and play a few Medieval songs.
Passtyme with Cardes

We will learn Tironfi, a game for two to six, as a way to pass time with good company. If time and interest allow, we will also look at Primaro, a gambling game, and one of Poker’s ancestors
Twined Jute Tiny Basket – Duchess Meagan ferch Meredydd
Time: 1pm – 3pm

Learn one of the oldest methods of basket weaving and twine a tiny basket out of jute. You will twine a long length of folded jute around eight spokes laid down as the base to create a compact little basket. You’ll learn to lay down a simple rim, and weave in the ends. The method learned can be used to produce baskets from other materials, such as dried and rehydrated plant materials, cordage, yarn etc
All supplies provided, but students may wish to bring their own small scissors and large metal tapestry needle in case they with to continue working on the basket after class

Pasta Making – Eleni Harvalias

Aways wanted to know how to make pasta? This class will take you through the process from start to ready to cook. The pasta we make will be used for the feast. You may want to have an apron and please have your hair covered or tied back. No cost for this class, but eternal gratitude for helping!

Dances will include Hole in the Wall, Sellinger’s Round, and some other s as time allows. Dance steps will be taught!
